So are Demon Hunters actually "blind."

Or do they just see the world differently?

Is everything just black and grey until they see magic then its highlighted? illidian seems to have no issue seeing, or at least he doesn’t walk around as if hes blind.

They’re supposed to be blind, but with a magical sense that is something reminiscent of a snake’s heat vision. That was retconned though so… Who knows anymore. I think it’s supposed to be regular vision only now they get the bonus of being really angry about it, or something.

They have eyes but better eyes

So they really sacrifice nothing

I always just sort of assumed Demon Hunters are a bit like Daredevil.

Yeah it was explained that we see thru a new “vision” now.

They see perfectly fine. Demon hunters have magical sight letting them see auras and energy in the world. Kind of a sixth sense they develop. But they can also shift that back to normal standard sight too just like when they had eyes. So they can see practically everything even blindfolded.

Nothing was lost except their physical eyes, but they gained it all back and more.

No, we actually have better vision than any other class/race. We can see through walls and stuff.

So a bunch of emo teens able to see through walls.

I don’t see where this can go wrong.

They see normally, just they can see magical auras…think something akin to true sight from D&D

they see with their special eyes

It’d be funny if he occasionally ran into a wall

The blindfold is actually there to keep the DH’s ego front squirting out of their balls.

Do you not remember what happened when jean claude van damme put on his blindfold? Or when he had salt in his eyes and could not see his opponent?

It’s all about being one with your body and mind with no sight needed

yes

We see magical emanations through the power of fel magic.
At least… that’s what they tell me I’m looking at.
I just see… well…
I think eating the heart of a Sayaad to gain Fel Powers was probably not the smartest thing. Especially in Kul Tiras.

Read the Illidan book. It goes over in detail how Demon Hunters are made it’s really cool and brutal. Or just make an account on Audible. They’re always giving away free credits so you can just get the audio book. That’s what I did. But yes, they lack normal eyesight and instead have kind of a magical/ethereal vision.
