So are 30 min queues for Solo Shuffles supposed to be fun?

Because that’s my average queue time. Even worse, you get in and some guy DC’s or leaves and you’re back to square one, having gained nothing and ready to queue up for another 30+ minutes…

…dude. You can literally spend hours playing and literally do nothing because of this.

Are you even trying to fix this? Healer incentives? Some other kind of system? Non-healer 2v2 queue maybe?

ANYTHING? Why is this acceptable and Blizz is just sitting there doing nothing. Actually unplayable.

Hi there. The issue is that there are a lot of dps (and tank) players but few healers.

No.

Yes, but these are…tricky.

right, yeah

it just doesn’t feel like they’re even trying anything at all to fix this though. This game gets so few changes I’m actually just starting to think they’re not doing much of anything.

all I’m asking is that they at least TRY. It’s blatantly insulting that they expect people to be okay with this

Yeah I think he knows this because he mentioned healer incentives.

Not really. Gold for 3 wins with bonus prizes for getting even more wins. Conquest badges for alts. Grant conquest to players for rounds won instead of going 3-3, or grant conquest commensurate with how long the person was in queue.

You can’t say it’s tricky when Blizzard has literally done nothing, not even an idea being floated around, and then pretend like we know whether it’s tricky or not. For all we know slapping some gold bags onto the queue for healers would be enough to bring it down to 10 minutes. We don’t know because nothing has been tried.

This isn’t even a new problem, they acknowledged it was a problem when it was getting to be a problem back in S1. It’s not tricky. They just have literally 0 PVP devs.

This is something they should’ve done a long time ago but doesn’t really have anything to do with healing.

Maybe. Has potential to cause low and low-mid MMR issues if it’s any notable amount, like imagine bots/afks just polluting the depths and having reduced mmr restrictions as they do now.

Might see this when conq uncapped.

if you purposely let a system decay, you can justify completely ripping it out by the dessicated guts further down the road pretty easily

kennie do you ever sleep or does remi just keep waking you up at random hours

It does mean people who wait a long while just to get into a losing game still get something out of it.

That’s why I don’t think they should give gold bags to healers just for queueing up. Going 3-3 means at least they have to preform their role, and further incentives past that to prevent healers just afking when they get their 3 wins.

Nah, I don’t think we will even if we should be.

Here’s some other solutions: Make dampening less aggressive in solo shuffle, make solo shuffle rounds end when 2/3 people die, slow down the pvp meta at least a little bit in general so players who aren’t dosing adderall have time to react when the sub rogue teleports behind them like it’s nothing personnel or when a moonkin looks at them, or when an enhance does 100k dps in under a millisecond by just existing, and healers who have slower reaction times can actually react to things.

LMFAO, that’s so true

nothing personal, kid

My queues right now are fast, relatively speaking (around 15-20 minutes) because not as many DPS are queueing right now.

It’s late at night and a few healers jump in queue, then bam, you’re in.

Still- that’s like 2-3 solo shuffle games every hour or two, and a reasonable amount of conquest that I need to catch up and start really doing some damage.

I just feel bad for the healers. I went 5-1 last round, and there was a Blood DK in the mix. I’m not sure he won any rounds at all. Healers likely hated him. He could not do damage, and would not keep a healer cc’d, in fact he broke my ice traps lol. We killed him one round due to dampening, too.

Oh, no, it’s slow enough. Games regularly drag on even at lower mmr unless people are just actually randomly pressing stuff, and even then they’ll last a few minutes.

There’s a few exceptions but in general pacing isn’t unreasonable.

Like this.

Non-healer 2v2 would be nice.

They could give healers better rewards. Their queue times are between a few seconds and 1-2 minutes tops.

They let the whole thing rot. The healer woes are just building up across all the pillars too. And Ion said in his interview they are happy with the changes.

/shrug

Thats so disappointing to think that this kind of “wait time” is acceptable as “fast”. Matches take less time than that… :frowning:

I’m still confused as to why healers are even allowed into instanced PvP to begin with. It’s very obvious that they bring a huge imbalance to the experience. Lock them out I say.

I mean at this point just making PVP an all DPS affair seems the most reasonable solution.

To be fair, the 30 minute queue does sound more fun because you’re spending it not playing Solo Shuffle.

If only that also gave you tangible rewards apart from your sanity and mental health.

you could not pay me to heal PVP.

getting screamed at by people that don’t know what the word peel means is not how I enjoy my free time.

The conq badges are literally coming tuesday, already in the 10.1.5 pvp patch notes

Thirty. :dracthyr_a1:
