So anyone else excited for Augmentation

Next reset it will go live and like at first wasn’t too interested then more information came out and tbh I’m super excited get to play a more support orientated role without the stress of playing healer which has only gotten worse this season.

Just need to get some sparks to swap out my cloak and boots for different embellished gear which means well getting spark fragments which well not had much luck getting… but tbh going after sparks is a breath of fresh air after spending 3 days in Torghast to get these shoulders :dracthyr_uwahh_animated:

Anything to get me away from pure dps and healing roles is welcomed for me since i can’t still be my favorite spec(tank) with my dragon.

I just hope they do indeed end up tweaking the drop or at least make a grindy but non rng/luck dependant way to get the legendary because it’s sinergy with augvokers is perfect.

Also Torghast :face_vomiting:

My favorite role to play in the game is support, so super hyped for augmentation.

I’m warming to it…

I still wish it had been a tank spec (unpopular opinion, I know, please don’t hurt me) but I do like the idea of being more useful to my raid or group without being a healer while still bringing significant damage alongside the party perks. It remains to be see if the implementation mathes the idea, however.

very excited!

It’s almost Augsmas.

Have a pretty much bis setup and new crafted items/embellishments ready to go (sans legendary ofc), just need to farm some more aspect crests so all the myth gear can get to 447 Tuesday.

Yuh was awful but refused to leave till I had them was in there for what felt like an eternity.

Yus :dracthyr_a1:

I’m still try to get 3 more fragments so I can get these embelishments crafted but well no luck so far might have to do the math and make sure that I can still get them at this rate I think I should but maybe not :dracthyr_shrug:

Still trying to decide what to craft though thinking atleast Shadowflame embelishment for extra damage not sure about the second.

Edit seems like gonna have to wait guess use my vault to get an extra splintered spark this week get one new embelishment when Augmentation goes live on my cloak as boots should still be valuable I guess.

you want hailstone treads + toxified armor patch if you’re just looking to maximize damage.

I’m quite excited! I think ultimately Devastation may be a better fit for my character, but I’m very interested in using more bronze magic. If I can do a very bronze-heavy build, I may consider playing it fairly often.

Maybe I’ll even go for an off-healer-esque build.

Our resident Evoker that switches between heals and DPS is looking forward to trying out Augment.

Should be interesting to see how that spec affects our raiding.

As mentioned before, acidic hailstone treads+toxic patch is highest DPS potential.

I’ll likely take a ~600dps loss to go hailstones and a shadowflame patch, since I don’t want a 20% permanent slow (especially in mythic plus) and it applies to mount speed too.

I’ll have the shadowflame on my belt and eventually make a second belt with a toxic patch for raid where it won’t matter as much to have the extra slow.

Third craft is the engineering bracers with mastery (and battle rez) of course.

The 3 most popular embellishments combinations people have come up with in the Evoker forum are either

  • Hailstone threads + toxic patch if you don’t mind the 20% slow

  • double shadowflame patch

  • shadowflame+sporecloak for extra bit of tankyness (even tho augvo its already tanky enough but even more tankyness its akways welcomed imo)

Personally i will go with the third option. I love my sporecloak as devoker and I don’t mind a bit of dps loss since we are not mean to do very high damage as augvoker anyway.

Also i have 19% passive speed from enchants and lucky thertiary stats. In ptr with bronze affinity i been running around passively as fast as a druid in cat form and im not giving away that for anything so hailstone threads is a nono

I’m legally obligated to call you a coward

This is true.

Also, one shadowflame patch with hailstone actually seems to be super popular. You can overcome the 10% slow easy with a few enchants. I also got the boe chest with speed on it which should let me have an extra avoidance enchants and still not actually experience the slow.

It’s a good 5-600 more DPS than double shadowflame.

It seems weird to feel like you need cat form speed and a sporecloak when we have 85% hover uptime AND spatial paradox AND time spiral to basically always cast on the move.

But the inherent beauty of the spec is that more choices are open if you don’t care about completely maximizing DPS, since in the grand scheme these choices won’t result in massive number differences. Especially since so much of it is coming from external sources.

Its not that i feel that i need the speed/cloak. Its just that it’s what i find fun (bear main up till DF so im used to being a very mobile tank).

And i play to have fun, not to min-max numbers. Atleast until we get a proper tank option for the race

Wasn’t meant as a criticism, lol.

I could go hailstones and toxic patch and with this spec if you’re better at uptime and have stronger DPS to target and better coordination, I’ll never come close to you.

Like I said, that’s the beauty of the spec.

I enjoy Dev a lot, most fun I’ve had with a spec in a while, but yeah, I’m looking forward to giving the new spec a try, It looks like fun, and I sure would not mind being a little less squishy.

Definitely going to be giving it a whirl in solo shuffle, absolutely hate being the kill target every match as devastation.

I am excited, yes.

Something I’ve enjoyed about devoker being a hybrid is the ability to drop a heal here and there when it seemed necessary/helpful (love the feeling of dealing damage and healing with Leaping Flames) . Augmentation is a spec that seems to double down on assisting without being a healer, so YES, I’m excited.
