So Anduin is Now Arthas?

I’m so confused…

What’s going on here?

Anduin is a slave, dominated by the new runeblade forged by the Jailor.

He looks visually like Arthas but there’s no connection, as far as we’re aware.

Anduin is being controlled by the Jailor so he can collect the keys to unlock his prison.

And Sylvanas seems to be visibly uncomfortable.

Because the Jailer is controlling him just as he did the Lich King (in the new lore version, anyway), that’s why Uther flinched when Anduin passed.

She’s probably going, ‘Damn, am I going to have to powerslide onto this sword as well?’

No, he’s Anduin.

They’re kind of connected in that their runeblades are from the same place (the Runecarver) and both have the ability to dominate the wielder

Man, I’m excited about how this patch will turn out. I hope we don’t kill Sylvanas, though. Well, I mean a fourth time.

That broker thing sounds similar to the concept of Nerzhul’s gambit to send Gorefiend and company back to Azeroth to steal artifacts.

Could it be that this soulstone carried the soul of Arthas in the Kingmourne? maybe Anduin have a ending like an Akuma Rugal or God Rugal SNK vs CAPCOM 2 style ending.

Thanks for this, I was wondering who that was.

Interestingly, we’ve seen Anduin do something Arthas never did. He is fighting the control. Arthas went all in, lock-stock and barrel. Clearly he broke free for a second after killing the Archon. That alone gives me more interest in the story because despite what other people claimed earlier today; it’s not about assassinating Anduin’s character.

Oh and he doesn’t have a father alive to gank either.

“Control must be maintained. There must always be a PLOT DEVICE”

I love that there are two of these threads with the same exact title right on top of each other.

She hated Arthas and he ruined her life and now she’s not only having to work with Kel’Thuzad but she’s watching the situation repeat with a similar looking blonde prince.

But it will be interesting to see that, being in a different position then the fields outside Silvermoon, what she does to sacrifice herself for the greater good. Like she did then.

Arthas 2.0

Just remember: The Jailor could have let Anduin run around in his rusty old Alliance armor, but he instead took all of Anduin’s measurements to make him a custom-fitted set of maw-themed armor with bones and skulls.

Would an evil person make you a bespoke suit of armor? I don’t think so. This is proof that the Jailor cares about his people, even if they are just his murderous mindslaves.

Arthas really wanted it, he didn’t care if he sold his soul. All of the warnings he got before grabbing Frostmourne, he did not give a darn.
