So Alliance, what's your contributions up to?

Do you think Blizzard will tick it over for you hours before reset?

Considering we are at 50% and it’s been 2+ days of contributions, no.

It shouldn’t matter. The whole reason they talked about rewards being held back was to keep things fair. Since Horde already have access to their loot from the world boss and it is 385, the Alliance warfront loot will be 385 because the cycle has already started.

Cause Alliance can never be the first to get the new ilvl gear.
Just a coincidence, I’m sure…

I thought if you started the Warfront after reset you get the new gear, not the contributions.

Pretty sure it refers to the actual quest, not the world boss. If you go by that reasoning the warfront never really “resets” because someone always has access to the world boss but there is a period where no one can queue.

I could be wrong though. We will just have to see!

The cycle starts in darkshore on attack, not on contribution.

Does it make that much of a difference? I don’t understand this entire line of thought.

Horde conspiracy theories, we got the first gear from the Warfront. People assume there is Horde bias to the point we must always be first, but if Alliance are smart enough they can get the quest up after the reset and get the first new gear.

We’ll know on Thursday. Either the forum will fill up with posts from Horde declaring how unfair life is. Or the Alliance will be making the posts.

To clarify this post: one faction has access to loot from the world boss and one faction has access to the quest that rewards a heroic ilvl item. Obviously the quest is a guaranteed item while the world boss is rng if you get a piece.

For season 1, the week Uldir opened, Horde had the first attack phase for Arathi, meaning Horde got a guaranteed 370 ilvl piece heading into week 1 of Uldir while Alliance had access to the world boss, no guaranteed 370 piece heading into week 1 of Uldir.

The conspiracy is that because 95% of the top Mythic raiding guilds are Horde, Blizz chose Horde for the first attack phase in Arathi to guarantee every Horde player a 370 ilvl piece on those guild’s first clears of Heroic Uldir to help them gear for Mythic release the following week.

It’ll be interesting, because now Alliance are in the middle of the donation phase. We’ll surely finish donating after Tuesday, meaning no one will have prematurely done the quest before the release of season 2. However, Horde already have access to the world boss, rewarding 385 instead of 400. So that one won’t roll over to 400 tomorrow. I don’t know if they’ll let the Alliance have a 400 ilvl quest while Horde is stuck with the 385 boss. Something tells me they won’t, and Alliance quest will reward 385.

So, what you’re saying is that once the Horde then complete their contributions, it won’t get increased, because the Alliance will already have access to the world boss at 385, and the cycle has already started. And so on. Repeat infinitely.

No. Since Horde already has access to the world boss and are getting 385 gear, going by what Blizzard has said about “fairness” about those that have already done the content not getting the updated rewards when the change goes live, the Alliance shouldn’t get the 400 item level gear because the Horde would get hosed. So, when it flips over and the Alliance have access to the world boss and the Horde gets access to the warfront, the gear will be updated to 400. At least in my eyes, that is how I see it.

Whether that is how it will be or not remains to be seen. But going by what Blizzard has said, I expect the warfront gear will be 385 because of “fairness.” We’ll find out tomorrow, I suppose.

Depends upon whether or not Blizzard resets the Alliance Darkshore cycle.

Warfront Cycles

  • A - Contribution

  • B - Battle

  • C - Patrol

Darkshore’s original starting cycle for the Alliance was at B which, at present, is the next cycle in line. Estimating the % left to complete the current contribution cycle, the battle cycle will activate either late tomorrow or Wednesday.
If Blizzard doesn’t reset the sequence from BCA to ABC, then the Alliance should see their first shot @ 400 gear from the quest within the next 24-36 hours.

There isn’t a Horde cycle and Alliance cycle…there is just a shared one.

Did the Horde not start @ the contribution cycle for Darkshore initially, then went on to do the battle cycle?
And currently the Horde is in their patrol cycle while the Alliance is in their contribution cycle. When that % gets to 100%, Horde will have a contribution cycle, Alliance gets their battle cycle. And the 400 gear from the quest because it will be after the reset tomorrow or even Wednesday before it rolls over.

Already have mine. But thx

Did the Alliance get ilvl 400 gear?

Better yet, have they even made contributions lol.
