Gating an “entire” pet class for hunters behind a Heroic Raid boss is very poor design. If it was a unique skin or something like Fenyr , i could understand . This is a kind to gating a priests heal behind a raid boss or a warriors skill. It is unacceptable. So after 14 years i unsubscribed. Yes you can have my stuff. This game has went downhill really fast for some reason. It is to bad .

Boring class.
Blood Beast class taming tome is locked behind Heroic Zul Reborn . Ohh and you only currently get it if you screw your team over and hearth before the boss dies. That is the only way hunters have gotten it thus far. So not only is it ruining what is left of the hunters reputation and making sure we do not get in raids hearthing out like that . Yes I Do understand that part is supposed to be broken but enough people are doing it that the damage is done. Look at the pugs. see how many say “No Hunters” now than before ,.

I play a Hunter, too:
I don’t really see a “cosmetic pet look” as a valid comparison to a Priest’s heal (as far as needing a “raid to get it.” )
You don’t NEED that “Crawg” whatever pet. It is just something that would be fun to have. They also unlocked several other looks at the same time, such as both mechanicals at that gnome trash dump/whatever.
I do agree that the way to get it is really, really dumb. I’ve always thought of Hunter pet looks as kind of “casual” content, that Hardcore Raiders are not really going to care about.
If you quit over this, you were going to quit anyway.

The pet is not cosmetic since it has a unique ability. You obviously do not play a hunter . Blood bolt is a ranged snare. No other pet class does that . SO since you have no clue about what you are talking about. go let the big boys talk or post on your lvl 12 hunter.
read my post … like i said. the damage is still being done allowing to work like that right now
So you’re telling me a significant change/upgrade/skill to your class is in a heroic dungeon that you’re guaranteed to get by running it once?
Sign me up for that. Instead gotta hope for RNG luck with the right azerite trait for every other class.

Only “unique” ability I can find is a 50% slow, unless this site isn’t listing it, I’m pretty sure spider pets do the same thing.

Locking rewards behind things you do not want to do is nothing new in this game, if you really want something you just do it.
