Wait a second. Players being allowed less restrictions to their mogs breaks your immersion but none of the other stuff that happens in game breaks your immersion? You have the name Terrormu, which I think it pretty awesome, but how is that no different than nekid people running around? If you’re concerned with immersion a name like that would seem like the last choice you would make.
That is exactly what I was thinking of.
Was redoing my rogue the other night and noticed that the stormwind guard set was available to him.
Not complaining, the geist w/ noose set I had just looked weird on a dwarf.
So a rogue in plate, but I can’t put my monks in their starter set until I get them to Warlords and farm the scrap heap set.
Its already a fortnight mess with the colourful vanilla texture armor.
Nothing stops people from wearing something just as bright and ugly as the ugly sweaters.
The flower crown is tame af.
You can mog something similar to the witch hats.
Out of season santa hats would be a bit weird but I don’t imagine a lot of people actually doing that. but if they do? who cares.
All this talk about “Clown mogs” made me realize something…
We need actual clown mogs! Why? because who wouldn’t wanna see a Goblin dressed as a clown while juggling Saronite bombs!
Seriously though, all those people saying “MUH IMMERSION” are weird. I mean look at me! I fight with fish! FISH!
If she wants to wear a gaudy Christmas sweater what difference does it make?
It is game. Not meant to be taken so seriously.
Yep! So much gear looks like it’s not what it says it is. The only bit of armor that looks like mail on my character is his chest piece. My boots and gloves look like leather and that leg armor could be mistaken for plate.
Also, anyone concerned with their immersion being broken should maybe ask Blizz to make armor look exactly like what someone would have worn in ye olden days. lol Those gigantic pauldrons would not cut it in the real world.
Wooo! Congrats!!
I would make the Undead and Orcs look like Juggalos if they put on clown mogs.
When Hella said we need actual clown mogs I was like, “Sure. Why not. Clowns don’t scare me.” Then you added Juggalos and the combination kind of frightened me. Blizz better give us back bodyguards if they implement that. lol That or toy, with a very short cooldown, that causes a big Kul Tiran to come up and give me a hug.
you have to play with those people, you have to go to the cities, you have to go to the towns…you will see them…thats the whole point…They are trying to maintain some kinda of fantasy realm here…not just some circus…
in cities and towns it actually makes sense for people not to be wearing plate.
in real medieval times, people didn’t walk around in full plate 24/7.
I always hate not being able to mog down to a chain, leather or cloth helms, if they cant remove restrictions, they need to add a feature to cloaks to come with a hood up, that can be changed to hood up or hood down or hood hidden, or hoodup & cloak hidden, for folks who only want the hood.
I want the Bloodsail set to be transmogged.
So far, only the hat can be mogged.
If I win trial of style first place 100 times Blizzard, will you let me mogrify my sunglasses? Please?
Since we are on transmog lifting let us not forget the artifact skins those have to be the worst restrictions still in place I understand during Legion why they were in place to keep the “class fantasy” lie but now Legion is over.
I would like to use my MM bow skins without switching to a spec I don’t play as I am sure there are other classes who want to use another specs skin in no way am I saying lift the class restriction that makes sense but come on Blizzard please let me kill things with my good boy using the MM bow skin.
Excellent point, please look into this Blizz.
I’m happy we get the option to hide chest, good for the peeps that are happy to utilize it. But I have two suggestions on top of that:
- Remove holiday transmog restrictions. Come on… we can mog a fish.
- Let us hide gloves! (There’s another topic on this already, oops! Let’s talk more about removing holiday mog restrictions.)
Also… I really wish these sunglasses were moggable…
All of these things. About fifty times over.
Yes, please and thank you!

Back when we always carried our gear around with us, pre transmog days, I had different sets made up on my character. One of them was a work outfit consisting of a flannel shirt and leather pants, gloves and boots. It’s what I’d wear in town while working on my engineering. It was quite a bit of fun, actually and very immersive. I miss doing that.
Ok here is an interesting question in hopes the higher powers that be see this and help out as they have been known to do, Hati as an example and that talking dagger, if they did loosen restrictions and allowed cross spec artifact transmog would that truly break anyones immersion.
Would it really kill the game of anyone else to see a BM hunter running around with the MM bow skin again this is just spec the class restrictions should remain.
