So about this perma warlock slow

I really don’t want to become a complaining Andy but how is a perma slow allowed in arena? I know I can just dispell it but I can only do that every so often. Doesn’t really help the whole wheelchair meme that comes with paladins as is lol

Tbh I don’t think legendary effects are going to get tuned since people invest time and gold on those but who knows.

The same reason why ret can kill someone in 2 seconds. Blizzard doesn’t care about balance.

Just one shot him?

Paladins represent 17% of the top teams. Warlocks represent 3% of the top teams.

Paladin comes to the forums to complain about warlocks.

Seems legit.

So you’re telling me that an aff lock slow is where you draw the line? ON A RET PALLY? :joy:. God forbid that you are inconvenienced in any way :joy:

I mean it’s cancer in 2s, in 3s not so much, but a good lock will completely decimate your team and avoid you if the lock is good.

Just the fact that it is instant, undispellable, lasts 20+ seconds, costs no resources, and is part of the rotation is disgustingly broken. Most melee have to connect and spend a global to slow, which in of itself is an accomplishment with the current state of slip n slide mobility everybody has. Death knights give up 50% of their damage and all of their globals to spam chain, hell, not even r1 frost bolt is in the game anymore

It really makes you wonder who is behind these decisions

valid complaint when its coming from a ret paladin seeing as how a warlock should never let himself get touched by a class with no legs

I mean warlocks have always had access to a curse slow. The problem was it was rarely used because it could be cured too easily. The corruption slow… that can be protected with UA though. It is kind of nice seeing locks with some ability to kite other than portal a couple times then wait for 2 min cooldowns lol.

???

He doesn’t realize how it works i guess?

I play an aff lock and I’m with you on this. We already have curse of exhaust and it feels a LOT more rewarding to spend a global on it rather than having a slow baked into our major rotation (in other words less braindead). I would say remove perma slow legendary effect and replace it with an effect that applies x3 shadow embrace debuff to all targets affected by malefic rapture and also passively increases the effectiveness of all periodic dmg over time effects by 10%. In return give the spec baseline dark pact. would be fair because DoT dmg feels pathetic without cds along with curse dispelling casters practically being a solid counter and the spec having only 1 spell school

Imo these changes alone with make the spec so much more comforting to play and will increase comp diversity for affy greatly.

cause affli locks wouldnt go anywhere without that legendary

we’re unplayable without it

it’s cancer i know but it doesn’t stop you from hitting us with a bunch of judgements for 30k and killing us in 2 globals through bubble

You clearly don’t PvP on this Warlock of yours, if it exists.

?? They are basically the same thing except frozen ammo only applied to people you auto shot not perma applied to your rotational dots.

It would be like giving serpent sting a 24 sec duration with a 50% slow while being a 0cd rotational dmg button that you want on every target anyways for max dmg for surv.

The warlock bias on thinking it’s anywhere near being ok is one the most wild things to me.

Imagine them removing flame shocks cd , then making it 24 dec duration instead of 18 then also making frost shock apply to it entire time. That’s what corruption is lmao

Huh? Not sure what you are implying here. But I’d love to hear an insightful argument or a list of suggestions from your side rather than you providing an unproductive response. Pretty sure from the past 10 years of playing an aff lock near consistently, I’d like to think I have a fair understanding of what makes the spec more engaging to play.
