What was this dungeon like back in the day? I tried it out one time out of curiosity back in the day, and it was interesting, but was it liked back then? Or was it not a very good dungeon?
You still have time to try it in WoW classic, when cataclysm hits it all changes.
Which day? Pre-cata? I remember when there were no friendly NPCs in the dungeon and there was another boss in a side room.
It always sucked
Pretty sure it only had 1 boss originally, and the others were rare spawns
ummm… i would say most people were indifferent to it tbh.
it was just a levelling dungeon that people completed for quests and experience… I never really paid attention to it…I went in with my group, we killed stuff and then left.
it wasn’t an epic dungeon like BRD or Stratholme which are still beloved to this day.

They just changed some of the bosses, pretty much the same dungeon
and the old stockade had the worst agroing mobs ever
one fear and you pull half the wing lol
The best thing about Stockades back in the day is that there were like 7 or so quests you could round up from various zones to do in it, it had no travel time involved, it was amazing for farming wool cloth, and there were a handful of decent blue BoEs that came from it.
If you stacked those quests it was a pretty nice chunk of XP for a relatively simple dungeon.
Yeah you had to make sure to pull the mobs back so they wouldn’t run and grab friends.
also stay in the rooms lol
Hogger is no joke and some day will return to claim his rightful place as Overlord of Elwynn.
