Snow in Stormwind

Do you have a source? Not doubting you but that conflicts with what I’ve read/observed.

Look up old weather effects on YouTube.

The only one I remember plain as day is swamp of sorrow heavy rain

I’ve definitely seen the originals, Vanilla STV storms were epic. Just wondering if there was an interview or forum post or something where it was talked about.

Probably. I don’t save or even pay attention to interviews. I just know that it was patched out.
Honestly I can’t remember if they took it out burning crusade or early wrath it’s been that long ago

Thunderstorms, and not those wimpy little thunder showers, are when I’m at my happiest.

Edgy horde players wouldn’t like that.

Their city is already more nature than spikes. They can go hang in the new Undercity, but my Tauren need room to graze. <3

A blizzard sounds like fun and if your out too long you start to freeze gradually, once iced a player has to help you break free, if frrozen for 10 minutes iced you die.

i know it be a massive undertaking but id love to see like actual Weather changes in the zones / world to reflect the Seasons that would be there… like Summer in Northern hemisphere, winter in Southern, and Vic versa…

Imagine Duskwood all dark and mysterious then add a layer of Snow on the Ground!!!

Better yet. I love rainy days when it’s darkish and there is a steady rain and an occasional rumble of thunder. We hardly ever get an all day rain anymore. :cloud_with_lightning_and_rain: :open_umbrella:

It seems weird that a low altitude coastal city would have snow but…

Ok I’m gonna stop there bc this is a fantasy game. Nothing has to make sense. Snow would be lovely.

Immersion?

Blizzard Dev: What is that?

No. And weather effects were first introduced in MoP. I think Stormwind should have massive hail storms that break windows and knock players unconscious! Ogrimmar can have flaming meteor storms that burn down their mud huts.

That’s a little much… don’t ya think? xD

New old world content in a mmo… Would be interesting if the world did feel alive. Night and day cycle, weather effects, and actually have seasons… Could even have seasonal quest all well… After all, we are paying 15 dollars a month…

Do you also say it’s been 84 years when something has taken a while because of Titanic?

In general, yes. Especially overcast and maybe a little rainy, or toss in an afternoon or evening storm. I do like a nice sunny day occasionally, but in general…the darker, the better.

I’ve never actually seen the weather effects in Org but I see them all the time in SW. Do they exist Horde side? 🫣

Blizz can’t do that. Too many cry babies will scream and scream because weather ruins their game.
Have you ever wondered why real weather effects (TBC) no longer exist?
