Sniffenseeking bugged - is this needed?

So the first quest with Myrrit is bugged. I’ve dropped it and gone back and it’s even more bugged the second time. On multiple characters and different computers (I’ve tried pretty much everything). And no addons, not even Razer Naga (which I need) so can’t blame that.

The first time through I can find the key but can’t make it work on the chest. The second time there is nothing anywhere for Myrrit to find at all. I’m tired of wasting time on this - Will not doing it stop me from anything but rep?

Oh and putting in a ticket got me the same bs “it must be your addons, it must be your computer, yadda yadda”.

There are dig mechanics with the sniffing events. Which one you doing?

The very first one? you dig up the gas tunnel, sniff, find the key, drop down to the hole with the chest behind the red field. And then you dig under the field, and (are supposed to be able to open the chest).

The key never worked when I had it, and now that I’ve reset and tried again the key isn’t there, and I don’t have it.
