The Zaralek exploration achievement to collect all possible treasures during Sniffenseeking digs is not tracking progress correctly. I was not awarded its precursor “Sniffen Around” until I had turned in my 10th treasure, and now “Sniffen Sage” shows as incomplete with 5/5 credit.
My assumption here is that one of the two treasure types (found on the ground natively in a dig, or dug up after being sniffed out) is both not counting and also not being fully tracked by both achievements. I would have expected to get “Sniffen Around” 5 treasures ago due to this, and I should have “Sniffen Sage” now.

I just got Sniffen Around for turning in my 5th, but Sniffen Sage shows 5/5 and when tracked has no objective. I have a 6th to turn in but I’m not sure if I should wait. I believe originally this showed as a list of the nine individual items you could get, but now just shows the counter.

This bug is a gate to completing the “A Niffen’s Best Buddy” mini-meta achievement and earning the Sniffenseeker title. Please take a look.

I just finished Proof of Myrrit, so I am only this achievement and the 50 digs achievement away from that meta.
It’s actually really silly that the other achievement requires 50 digs, as that means it takes 17 total weeks to complete given the cap of 3 digs per week plus the 1 freebie we got at the start showing off what digs are. So, they have another…13 weeks to fix Sniffen Sage I guess before Myrrit’s meta achievement is truly gated.

FYI, I just got the last item I needed and the Sniffen Sage achievement popped, so you are just at the mercy of RNG for the items you sniff out. Thankfully, it appears only the achievement tracker is bugged, and not the achievement itself.
I’m not sure this helps those of us who have already found all the items. Maybe they implemented a fix that allows the repeatable ones to count? There is one or two which reset weekly. I guess I’ll find out next week.

I found if you keep doing the Sniffenseeking every week and continue to collect the special items, eventually the achievement will trigger.
According to the macros on Wowhead, I’m missing the “Lucky Ducky” and “Ruby in the Rough” treasures. I don’t really see how this is possible since these are all static spawns and I have received at least one repeat of every possible unique dig since I hit renown 9. /sigh
Guess I’ll just keep going 'till it randomly pops.
