What’s stopped paladins so far is Void elves, Mag’har and Forsaken.
Similar situation with warlocks blocked by the Pandaren (especially by Shado pan), Tauren, and Draenei opposed by culture.
Wtb class skins for races. Would love a nelf paladin with silver light and a glaive judgement.

I believe the best chance is with Highborne as it explains both Night Elves and Nightborne becoming paladins.

The issue is that classes like paladin, shaman and most of all druid have race specific thematic accents that require extra work on blizzards part, something they are notorious for avoiding when they can.

Couldn’t they just reskin the saber mount from BfA that costs an ungodly number of badge things from the warfront, the Priestess Moonsaber or whatever it was called. I mean it could be made to fit a Night Elf Paladin easily by changing the armor coloring.

Probably, paladins get the shortest of sticks typically in the form of just a rehashed mount with a different color+yellow glowy eyes. Meanwhile allowing priest/rogue/mage is little more than a flip of a code switch, the secondary issue is anytime one faction gets X Y hybrid class someone always whines about faction balance.
Not that there is much actual faction balance these days.

Botanist Blood elves and Nightborne. They are npcs. They fit the class just as much as goblin shaman fit theirs.
Yes, they already said they are going to make both the races and classes less unique and meaningful and go for all races, all classes.
