Sneak nerf and the illusion of choice

I am extremely surprised by the amount of effort that is being put into making sure Rdruid is unplayable. I genuinely wish the 11.0.5 changes for rdruid were revert and be left as is.

  • Nature’s Swiftness healing bonus is now 40% less effective in PvP combat.
  • Cenarion Ward healing is decreased by 20% in PvP combat.

I found a build that works well for me and a totally new and refreshing rotation that rdruid has not had in a long time. A rotation that has risk and rewards for achieving such a sequence. The special spell I’m talking about is invigorate. It pairs well it budding leaves when invigorated. The risk being if you dont manage the next few globlas after pressing invigorate you might lose the stacks of budding. The next 3 seconds after invigorating gives you a sense of intensity. The main stream build we have now is not any different from Shadowlands Rdruid. You get to press lifebloom/rejuv and cenward swiftmend. That’s it. Throw a couple non GCD treants and there is not difference between the currect TWW and Shadowlands Rdruid. These changes promote a dull uncreative design. It’s almost like checking off boxes off a list. The “checks” being your healing over time effects. Applying every healing over time effect and then what? What if your team has every possible HOT in game but their health bar is not moving? All the boxes are checked. Are we suppose to get a sense of reward after checking every box? In that situation the Rdruid is in tree form spamming regrowth.

I have not felt so disconnected with the Rdruid community. I hear many creditable Rdruids complain about how rdruid lacks and how rdruid feels weak. I do not feel like that. The first few weeks of the season I struggled because I was using the build everyone was using. But once I experiment I found so much comfort with my current build. (not trying to say it was easy) I playing against Jungles, RMPs, 2Evokers X, and I manage to win these games against multi R1 from recent seasons. When I played the main stream build I struggled so much. Im winning these impossible games and I still manage to get bullied/gaslit because I’m not playing the build Nogard is playing or whatever top Rdruid comes to your mind. If I had to guess I have won 9/10 mirror games against rdruid by winning on mana. My single rejuv build was secret tech I believe in after thousands of games this season.

What really makes me upset is the healing nerfs that werent needed for cenward and NS. Wildwood roots reducing cenward by 10 seconds only promotes burning more mana and going oom. Reducing NS healing and forcing us to talent into making it 5% worse than what is now is diabolical work.

The worst part is I can play my old build like before but, I can not talent into forest flow. This whole reworked has ruined rdruid for me. New cool talents I can not play without ruining a viable build.

On choosing the twentieth point Im stuck between choosing Renewing Surge, Wildwood roots, TwinLeaf, Or Natures Splendor. What if I do not want any of them? What if I want to play focus flow.
-I do not want to spec into Wildwood because I do not like throwing my cenward away so wastely. I hold it for when it’s needed
-Twinleaf is terrible for me because my teammates in shuffle over use their cooldowns before I able to get a efficient rotation executed. By the time I am able to finally get my big NS off my teammates have pressed their defensives and I come to a cross road to hold my ns or use the NS now during my teams defensives and mind the over heal. I sometimes go minutes without using NS in games because my team wont allow me to pull my weight.
-Natures Splendor is such a crime against the people. Nerfing the talent then giving the people the option to talent into making NS 5% less effective from the previous patch is insulting to say the least
-Regenesis and Wildwood have the same spell Icon. Did we really not care enough about druid that we couldnt have different spell icons for talents that empower different over time effects.

How to fix the problem. Make Harmonious Blooming base line. That would give us 1 more talent to spend. Or make Undergrowth allow you to apply 3 lifeblooms Or make budding leaves 1 point instead of 2.

I thought I found something special. But it’s being taken away and now I’m forced to play like everyone else. Rdruid had a unique Identity within itself. Now anymore
