Snarky jokes at the playerbase's expense

Don’t worry, as long as Blizzard ignores the community, the oranges have their backs.

Understood. If there’s constant insinuations that open-world players are lesser, then I agree that needs to stop. The “Us. vs. Them” mentality in this game is crap.

I think the RNG itself should go. It feels very bad when RNG holds you back from a FOMO achievement. The Rank 4 BFA essence one comes to mind. That felt very bad.

The other, shall I say, “glaring” problem is Blizzard’s inconsistency with how it treats outdoor achievements. I’ll just say “Mecha-Done” and leave it at that.

This makes sense as long as there isn’t a crazy gate on parts (I can’t remember).

I may be in the minority, but I’m one that takes a “do everything I can on my main, fill in the gaps with alts” type of player. In other words, I earned Veilstrider on a single toon. There’s different types of outdoor players  (That’s all I’m saying).

I think it’s fair to ask for removal of RNG-gating from achievements. While improbable, it is entirely possible for someone who started Necro at the start of SL to still be missing a quest. They would be very unlucky, but the possibility exists, and that’s something that shouldn’t.

I still am baffled how Blizzard managed to drive yet another stake between LFR and Normal+ players with their boneheaded decision. The mount doesn’t even fly  It would’ve hurt nobody to own up to their supposed mistake and just leave it in LFR, but I digress…

This does happen in a different way. Not only are raid tiers continuously nerfed, but players get better gear as well. “This boss is too hard, nerf it!” is a roundabout way of asking for AotC to be nerfed.

To be fair, I don’t believe any time-limited achievements, or any time-limited rewards for that matter, should rely on RNG. In my view, you should have a guaranteed path to obtaining a reward if it’s getting removed, and that should apply regardless of the type of content.

But again, we’re looking at Blizzard taking 20 different bad design problems and stuffing them into their FOMO cauldron yet again, which leads to problems like this.

As I said in that thread, neither do I.

But while they insist on continuing with them, I don’t want outdoor player rewards made easier just because raiders/M+/PvPers complain, when the same courtesy isn’t extended to us.

(And then the same people begging for it to be made easier are stalwart against making other things accessible to outdoor players easier, very hypocritical.)

Yup, that mentality runs rampant unfortunately. If one group gets hurt by something, another group will say “deal with it or go play another game” Then when the roles are reversed, the “deal with it” group starts screaming.

They earn their “fan defense” when it’s due - but not for this case.

Validating this type of behavior is even worse. The joke isn’t inappropriate, it’s about a fictional video game character. It’s not okay, normal, or healthy to be emotionally effected by something like this. You absolutely should seek help if the worgen joke has legitimately effected you in a negative way.

Enabling this kind of thing is wrong is so many ways.

The fact you heard “Telling someone they need therapy is wrong” then double downed on it. Yikes.

And if you think it’s about the race and not the way blizzard treated the players that have been asking for it, that’s on you.

You’re enabling the behavior of people that think it’s okay to be emotionally effected by a mild joke about a worgen tail. Is this real life?

Blizz added an extremely mild joke about a fictional video game character and you think people that play that character are justified in being upset about it? This can’t be happening.

Yeah some people want worgen tails and it’s clear Blizz isn’t adding them because at the end of the day it’s their lore and their game. Who cares? IT’S A GAME.

There are things I want added to orcs but if Blizz added a silly joke about them not being added I wouldn’t care, I’d probably laugh. Why? Because I’m not an orc, I’m a human being that lives in the real world and if I told people that I felt personally offended and targeted over an orc joke I’d probably be sent into therapy immediately.

This also just screams entitlement. “I cried on the forums for months about a worgen tail that Blizz is clearly not going to add and now they make a joke about it?!, I’m offended!” Get. A. Grip.

This is not normal. I’m still hoping that everyone in this thread is just trolling.

Dont get your tail up in a bunch

Here’s a 2-for-1 with Rodney Dangerfield and Sam Kinison in the film ‘Back to School’.

The movie also had a very young Robert Downey Jr and Billy Zabka. Kinison was an awesome comedian and Dangerfield was legendary, one of the biggest comedy influences of all time. He launched a lot of careers including Kinison, Bob Saget, Rosanne Barr and Jerry Seinfeld.

Don’t get your tail in a twist now

Dont let your fur get up in a scruff

Petition to grandfather battlemaster like arena master for everyone who doesn’t have master of strands of the ancients pre removal ty ty :+1:

I got a single day silence for one of my post. Granted I deserved it but the mass report discord will flag my posts any chance they get. Even in beta right now people are using the “joke” to attack Worgen and its sad. Blizzard opened a huge can of worms by making fun of players and others are harping in on the bandwagon but it’s not going to change my determination of wanting options for my character.

I asked a Dracthyr if they could tank a dungeon for me. They just looked sad and glided 3 feet away. I wonder why?

This is being blown way out of proportion. This was not a malicious move, nor something horrendous.

I am honestly not familiar with any of those names aside from Downey Jr but I’m bad with names, and I’m not from America so maybe that plays into it.

Malicious? Nope. Attack? That’s a stretch.

More like stepping in dog poo. It’s gross and you wish Blizzard would better control their verbal bowel movements because it’s really smelly here.

Have you missed nearly every single April fools post blizz has made? They are full of that kinda thing.

It’s nothing to write home about.

I get what you’re saying. It doesn’t matter what the topic at hand is-The lack of communication about a popularly requested feature, and then having the joke isn’t really a good portent for the “new humble bliz”. People got big lost on this one.
