For those that were involved in the Beta what do you think is the smallest raid comp that can be run? We’re thinking of running 2/2/7
The smalles efficient raid group is 10ppl on any raid. The composition of said raid group would vary significantly depending on the classes and specs being played as some classes are always more gear dependant than others.
This means you might need 3 healers at the start and as you progress you can drop that down to 2 or even 1.
Exactly as nidus said it’s 10 always is.
The comp dose change based on skill classes the fight and gear. From as much as 2/3/5 to as little as 1/1/8.
Single tank single healer has happened quite a few times hell even in mythic single tank single healer 18 dps has happened on fights here and there.
For this reason the smallest raid should always have one main tank one off tank that is expected to keep a up to date dps spec one main healer that is able to swing both tank and raid effectivly with two other healers that should be expected to keep up a dps spec. As well as one dps that is expected to keep up a tank spec for the rare three tank fights.
It always just depends on the requirements of the fight but you should go in with 2/3/5 when learning the extra healer is a swing spot and once your raid has the mechanics some what down swap it to a dps if needed when pushing for the kill based on the comfort of the raid. The raid will learn faster if you see more of the fight per attempt and a extra healer allows that till at least the basic dance is down.
