I feel like with Cata classic rolling out this is a good time to bring this up: How does the PvP community feel about Rated BG queue right now? Do you guys like that you have to queue with a 10 stack?
Back in Cata/MoP the gang and I did a lot of arena but sort of hated BGs. I hopped off for Legion but came back on with more of an appreciation for them, only to find that now you need a 10 stack to queue up.
I totally get the thinking, it’s competitive play so there’s a barrier up to try and ward off throwers and other jabronis. But on the other hand, I only really have 2-3 friends that play now and it sort of sucks to be locked out of the option. It’d be nice if the matchmaking worked like OW1 used to where it tries to put 3 or 4 stacks on each team.
My other issue is Epics. I’m an old AV fan (yeah yeah ik) and I feel like if I wanted to do serious BGs, it’d be in 40 mans. Is that even possible right now?
To be honest though I’m not in the loop. I never did Rated back in the day so I’m not sure if the issues with randos was bad enough that this change was justified.
So I’m asking the folks out here that are into rated BGs/PvP: how do you guys feel about Rated BGs right now? Do you like it? Do you wish it was more accessable? Are the problems with throwers so bad we should keep it gated up?
Last note, I don’t think solo-queue fixes this. I think most people on WoW either have a guild or a small group.
