Small gripes thread

Have any small gripes? Nothing about M+ or raiding, it’s already done to death.

I’ll start: Blizz, why did you have to put the newest money quest on the most inaccessible part of the map for the whole zone? Zul’Aman needs a portal. :winking_face_with_tongue:

Maybe not small, but xmog restrictions. I genuinely do not see the point in them being so restrictive. The class fantasy and uniqueness argument died the moment they added trading post and shop mogs that can be used by all classes.

Like, keep the class mogs restricted to their class, but everything else can and should be opened up. I’m talking mogging cloth over leather, staves over 1H, etc.

It’s a major gripe for me but probably insignificant to others.

I can second this suggestion. My wife is addicted to housing, and I’m always up for a nice xmog. She be like “you playing Barbie again?” LOL. My original main even won a Trial of Style like the first time it came out!

Just letting non-cloth classes mog cloth would be a great boost. I have zillions of cloth mogs because I tend to play a lot of clothies, but not so many leathers and definitely not much mail.

Why has Blizz not put a Rostrum on Transformation in Org or Stormwind City? They keep putting them in the new cities like the new Silvermoon, but still don’t have one in our main cities.

Trial of Style would be a million times more fun without restrictions. It kind of sucks to have a crap mog because I’m on my mail class when my cloth class could’ve nailed the theme.

Maybe the armor type restrictions can be seen as a fun challenge to overcome, but I feel the purpose of showcasing mog creativity and adhering to themes would be way more fun and in line with the spirit of the minigame without restrictions.

It just feels super pointless to me. Years ago, people made the argument that you wouldn’t be able to tell a paladin is a paladin if he’s wearing cloth, or that a druid looks more like a warrior wearing plate. But it’s 2026 and we have universal murloc onesies, ffs. Just lift it already.

Vitis vinifera.

Small gripe: I’m lost all the time in this expansion. It takes me 10 minutes to find the Voidstorm quartermaster. Even though I know it’s a sharp right and down the hill from the portal.

It takes me 10 minutes to find the Haranir quartermaster. Even thought I know it’s ‘not inside the Den’ because I looked it up three times on Wowhead already.

I just found the transmorgifier in Silvermoon. Which is great because I was lost looking for the entrance to the Prey building and came upon it by accident.

Silvermoon in general is too big and unintuitive. Please make smaller more compact cities.

The reality that Pick Pocket, Pick Lock, and Disarm Trap are effectively worthless.

archaeology.

i can deal with it being a dead profession, even if it was one of my favorites.

i can deal with it continuing to sit dead in my profession log, instead of rolled into something else like first aid was or just abandoned completely.

but.

why do dwarves still have an archaeology racial.

yes, i get it, dwarves whole thing back in the day was trying to figure out their connection to the titans. but the cat’s pretty out of the bag at this point. can we get something else? maybe a bonus to mining? anything, even literally just getting rid of it with nothing in return because forum elves won’t stop seething about stoneform, is better than explorer just sitting in my spellbook… staring at me.

Blizzard, if you want to make basically an entire city a zone in which toys vanish (mailboxes, portals etc) the instant you put them down, just prohibit their use in the first place so we can’t waste our CD’s only to see them disappear. I’m sick to death of putting my mailbox down only to see it vanish before i can collect my mail lol

I mean I don’t bother using my Radiant Lynx Whistle in a city, that’s silly. That’s for when you forgot to get your mail before going into the rough.

Why can’t I just plan a heist on the great vault? I mean… it is a horde city anyway… and they seem to have a pretty large amount of stuff in there, I’m sure if I snuck some stuff out quietly no one would mind.

I’m a lifelong engineer and collector of toys, particularly ones that provide some type of utility. I’m very much accustomed to being able to stand still in a spot away from everyone and do all of my buying/selling/posting/collecting etc via my own kit, it’s silly to have all of these items and then have to go looking for a mailbox because they vanished as soon as i dropped them.

Pet pathing and AI. Oh my god. The amount of ‘path not available’ on a freaking straight line. It gets worse with slight inclines. Or they’ll do things like run off after training dummies in dungeons (why do you even have those there?). Even on passive, sometimes my cat is just like, you know what, I’m gonna bit that dude right in the nuts. And he does.

aggro-ing critters in delves who charge at you like they’re looking to scuffle, then when you finally see you are in combat and glance about for whats about to get obliterated, the little jerks scrabble back to their spot like nothing had happened. immune immune immune >:[

Having to type /reload before I can use something I just bought from a vendor,

(I guess there was some return exploit they had to close at some point? Still it’s a bit annoying)

Enemies that get stuck in the walls in places like delves and just eternally Evade.

Normally it’s a LOL moment, until a Nem monster got stuck in the wall. No 5 extra crests for the Devil. :winking_face_with_tongue:

Mechagnomes still don’t have pink, purple, or green hair. you’d think they’d have MORE vibrant hair colors not less. I don’t even play them but it makes me very annoyed.

On that matter why don’t gnomes share their hair options across the two types? Why don’t blood and void elves share their hair options?

Why are human faces locked behind skin color? Why do the dark skinned huamn undertones look like that?
