Am I missing something or did they remove the dragons/whelps and sprites that used to drop these? I remember farming these for Dragonbreath Chili, however they aren’t in any of the spots I used to see them in.
I remember them in Swamp of Sorrows, Feralas and mostly in Dustwallow Marsh.

A comment on wowhead says the sacs only drop from the sprite darters inside dire maul now. Don’t know how correct that is, but since you’re having trouble in your other places, you might try there.

I tried to figure this out for you but I’m honestly not sure? When I went to look it up things kept getting muddied up with Classic info and no retail info since 2.2, though it still is listed dropping from the mobs you mentioned if they aren’t there anymore not a lot you can do.
I’d try what Brahmina suggests.
thank you, I’ll give it a shot.
Can confirm. I needed these for something a while back and ended up having to do DM West sweeps to get them.
right on, thank you. Dragonbreath chili is hilarious in pvp.

Can you even get that recipe anymore or did you get it awhile ago?
I have no idea when I picked it up. I have had it since back in original Warcraft
LOL I was gonna say I hadn’t seen that recipe since before BC when I used it on my mage
and yes. I went into dire maul and got a couple. thanks for the help everyone
They arent worth using these days in pvp/pve
pve has winter squid and pvp has tender wolf
I’m weird and I use it for max level pvp. Same with Thunderchops. Although Thunderchops can get annoying because it will randomly hit things in stealth. But as if a gust of wind doesn’t break stealth anyway haha
Need to bump this.
Those flame sacs are also needed for a an alchemy and engineering recipe.
I made a few runs through Maul west and didn’t get any. Maybe bad luck on my part, but you shouldn’t have to run an instance 5 times in an hour and come up empty-handed for a basic item needed for a profession recipe.
Anyone know if maybe the Shadowlands expansion might bring some of the messed up Cata regents back?

As a side note, it sounds like a short description of a STI.
try the whelps in Wetlands?
That would work for WoW Classic, but not the current WoW.
After Cata, pretty much the only spot for flame sacs that I can see is Dire Maul, and even then you need to make multiple runs and hope to get one.

Well you undead so your sac…
Oh wait nevermind
yea this is ridiculous, Blizzard please fix, its as easy as adding it to the drop tables of all the welps in azeroth. this isnt a hard change… even if you did it for a few, just add it in the next patch
