Whoa now, you already have 30 nerf DH threads, now you need locks and mages? anything else?
So bads feel less bad about being bad b/c they lasted 10+ min (artificially) instead of 4-5?
Not the answer dude. This isn’t a ‘damage’ issue at all, it’s a rating system issue.
Ele/Balance/Demo can nuke as fast and surely as a sub rogue, arms war is barely worse (and mechanically better) than DH and they do similar damage. Everything is equally good if they can play into their win conditions.
Spreist being ‘bad’ this season isn’t resulting from anything to do with other classes and is 100% based on the tuning and design changes made to the spec over the course of the expansion. Nerfing others won’t solve those design/tuning issues for Shadow. Nor will it fool me into thinking it does because I’m not an idiot, removing things from others won’t make shadow a better spec design wise.
The lowest common denominator only sees a gain for themselves when someone else loses something.
I think everyone agrees on rogue, specifically either sub rogue damage or cheapshot duration.
I actually think dk is stronger than war rn in several MUs as well. Not sure how you left out cyclone or warlock as well, since 2/3 warlock specs are better than every non-rogue spec you listed. Boomy may also need a damage nerf with their mastery change, but i think you can just start with clone.

This is so wrong. Dh was absolutely overtuned and has been nerfed three times and its still fine/strong. There has objectively never been a spec as oppressive as s1 ret paladin. Even after all of its nerfs, there was still a ret paladin in 97% of games and ret paladins had a 91% winrate into non-ret paladins. Ret paladins won 10/11 games into non-rets. Ret paladin+ warrior has been the literal r1 ladder comp since slands s4 and the highest represented comp in r1 range and above glad since shadowlands.

It’s okay to dislike dh or want ret to be stronger, but you gotta be objective and look at data as well as play the other classes’ pov.
It’s definitely an interesting dilemma. At 2k plus the games are almost perfectly paced. We have a good mix of very fast games and semi damp games. Because everyone trades their cooldowns properly. But at 18 and lower, no one trades properly and you get random deaths. So not sure how to slow it down without creating another damp session like last patch
As a caster other casters dont seem oppressing to me. However you’re correct destro could use some tuning, along with boomy damage. Its much easier for me to get away from a dk then it is a warrior I know that may seem odd but warriors along with dhs are just on you non stop and just seem impossible to get away from.

Totally fair! Especially as a warlock where you pretty much always win trades vs other wizards between damage and soul leech.
Honestly i think the tankiness from soul leech is what needs a nerf. Destro damage is good, but nothing broken, but they shouldnt just win every trade by existing and passively healing from their damage. Similarly, I’d rather see a cyclone nerf (to start) than damage nerfs.
Wdym? That’s not silly at all. Dk can grip, you soulburn+port out of los and they never connect to you for 15s. Then when they do, you gateway and have port back up after. The entire time your teammate is railing them.
Warrior has 2x charge, leap, reflect, and 2x bladestorms to not be CCd. Dk obviously isnt bad, but warrior has much better time “pressuring” a target. Even better than dh.
Match-Ups, but maybe also that. I dunno what marvel is cooking.

to me what makes it seem broken is the fact that they have so many schools of magic and only get shut down if you kick cb.
Damage seems pretty broken seeing as they do 80k dps without casting and back to back chaos bolts is a kill opportunity every time

Yes DH does damage, ret also did insane damage along with making their team immortal.
S1 after re work if you weren’t playing with a ret you were throwing. This season you can still play other comps and not rely on a DH.
You could never miss a chaos bolt or MD kick. You’d have 25% more time to react to an aimed shot lol
