I have a nice gaming pc that can perform amazing for wow. But after some ply time, I mean in days not hours , game starts to load slower.
I deleted the whole wow folder and I game just copied data probably from
PTR, but it fixed the problem for few weeks. Last week it started again to load slower. Sometimes I have to force the game alt+F4 and open again to fix the problem
Try renaming the Cache folder. See if that fixes your issue.
I had deleted the cache folder in the game directory, but that only helped a little. What I just found and LOVE is there is another cache folder for wow. Go to your c:\program data folder and delete the folder named Blizzard Entertainment. For me, I was skeptical so I just moved it to the desktop which took it out of the program data folder.
I restarted the game. Now instead of 45+ seconds from character select to dropping in game and then another 5-20 seconds to be able to move and before any NPCs or players show up… NOW it’s 8 seconds to land in the world and when I land, all NPCs are there and players are running around.
I have had my issue for a long time, like since mid 2019 but just lived with it and it had gotten progressively worse to where when I did an heroic Darkshore, the players were on land fighting by the time I landed in the zone.
I am now a VERY HAPPY CAMPER.
edit I had files in that folder dating back over 4 years even though I had reinstalled the game on my new SSD last year.
I just made a shortcut on my desktop to the Program Data folder so I can regularly delete the Blizz folder to refresh the game data.

I will try to do that as well. For me seems solution was memory leak. I followed steps on you tube that involve changing one number in registry to “4” and seems while pc is like turbo jet engine now. Better then it was when I bough it.
But I will do that as well, cause I knew problem was mainly in game itself. They have to store somewhere old data, information and stuff. But I didn’t know about that folder in program data. Thank you I’ll try that
