yes im having the same issue. i can make a cup of tea whilst the game loads and thats with addons turned off, it used to be fast. Also then have to sit and wait while the graphics all load ie boralus . if i open my bags the first time it draws each square one at a time til loaded.
Yes. If I log in at a city center like Orgrimmar or Dalaran I have on average 5 minutes before the ground renders enough to be able to move. Then If I mount it is another minute or two. Then there are invisible walls everywhere for another 5 minutes or so.
5 mins? Wow that’s long.
I’ve noticed a delay once I’ve logged into the game as well but nothing like that.
For me it takes like 20 seconds for everything to load so I can move. Before 8.2 I never had any delay.
I have noticed this as well, notably in Boralus. I went from nearly instant loads when I log in to anywhere from 30 seconds to 2 mins.
That is better. The first few days I could go and take a shower and it may be finished loading by the time I get back.
I thought it was the computer because it is on a wifi connection, but it is the same on my kids’ pc which is wired.
yes i thought my graphics card was on the way out now the more i read the more im thinking its the game doing it. mine is loaded on to a ssd hard drive so should be quick
What is considered slow? I’ve noticed that BFA loads a zone in about 10 seconds on my PC. Before BFA, it was about 5 seconds.
Ironically, when things get super bogged down, I clear my cache folder to speed it up.
For me I randomly get input lag where my game freezes for 3-10 seconds and then goes back to normal. Usually happens shortly after I’ve loaded into somewhere. My PC is pretty powerful though so that might be why it’s not as bad as some others are saying.
Legion Dal hearthing is back to its pre-fix loading for me.
By that I mean models (characters&npcs), self, and mounts, take a long time to appear on my screen.
I had a regular hard drive then, SSD now.
Which means if I still used a regular hard drive the loading would be like the old Legion loading that took minutes on the loading bar.
same here, hidden walls also for a couple minutes.
Hey guys try going to your cache, right click, select properties and uncheck read-only. I also ran a repair, but ever since I’ve unchecked read only it seems to be a lot better.
Game install is on an SSD and everything seems fine.
Mine is also on an SSD so clearly that’s not the problem.
Has there been a resolution to this issue? My computer is way faster than my son’s but his loads twice as fast as mine and doesn’t have any slow issues loading any windows, bags, etc…
I’ve reinstalled windows and WoW, updated drivers, WoW, still runs like crap !
Your ( and my) load screens just titan forge. I loaded into underot in seconds today and directly before hand took a least a minute for atal dazar and far far longer logging in at the seal.
Long load times is one thing but the loot freezing is driving me insane. This is on retail only. Nothing like this happens in classic
The game locks up for 1-2 seconds when looting some mobs. Every mob for a bee event does this.
I started deleting my cache folder after major patches. It reduces load screen issues. I’ve been doing this for many years, before and after converting to SSD.
And changing zones, entering a new area within a zone, getting out of combat, everything has that 1-2 second freeze now. I’ve shut down because it got so annoying. And when I’m on my Druid who is a duel gatherer it’s a nightmare, the game freezes for as long as it doesn’t, if you follow me. WTH blizz?
Since the patch I am experiencing nearly all of the issues mentioned above . . . . . it is obviously a game issue and the way Bliz are doing things is probably good on the server side but it is slowing down our side considerably!
