Hey guys. When I play the game in full screen mode, without alt tabbing, my game runs smoothly. Really great. But when I go into windows mode, and alt-tab into my browser to read guides or something, the game becomes gradually slower and slower. After a while the lag spikes start to last for like 30+ seconds, and I have to restart my game, and web browser. Any idea how to fix this?
Which version of DX are you using? That might happen with DX11, but it shouldn’t happen with DX12.

Just checked. Using dx12 
DX12 has no fullscreen exclusive mode, so alt-tabbing shouldn’t slow anything down.
Might be another program that’s trying to steal focus,look in your taskbar at the time you alt-tab out and see if there’s program using a lot of cpu %.

Don’t see anything besides my web browser, and WoW, when I alt-tab. My browser is using 1%-10% CPU, WoW is using 35-50%. My CPU usage is rotating from 45%-60%. My memory is at 86%. With WoW and my browser. both using around 1,900.0 MB
I know I’m going to get flamed for necroposting, but this thread didn’t seem to come to a satisfactory solution, so flamers can suck it. I’m posting this for anyone else Googling like me arriving at this page, not for all the people who watch the forums like a hawk. I can’t believe I’m even bothering to post on the forums of such a toxic community.
I had this same issue just now, and through a lot of trial and error, I found that I could resole the slow alt-tabbing delay by disabling the “Vertical Sync” setting.
