Slow connectivity - Microsoft

I knew it, soon as you sold out to Microsoft they do what they ALWAYS do, they screw up connectivity. I’ve had nothing but trouble connecting or while in-game I get drops. Microsoft like so use software firewalls and they always use a dual homed computer to do their firewall which is a no-no in NORMAL networks. They have screwed up this game. In game, I’m playing along just fine and then I lagggggg. sometimes I get dropped. Thanks Blizzard for selling out to Microsoft. This game now SUCKS.

Same. I couldn’t load two of the holiday dungeons and it would finally load right after the boss died. Third time’s a charm?

I’ve been dropped 4 times today and at least that many times yesterday. It’s getting difficult to play especially when getting dropped during a battle.

Time to let the Blizzard games drop from subscription and find a new game (non-Microsoft game)?

The servers have not moved neither have the data centers that host them. With that said its likely a connection issue between your ISP and the servers. There have been a few ISP issues latelyand with some of the weird weather going on there has been a lot of routing around affected areas . If you want to post a WinMTR we can take a look

  1. Download WinMTR
  2. Extract the contents of the .zip file to your desktop.
  3. Open the WinMTR folder, then open the folder that matches your version of Windows (32-bit or 64-bit) and run WinMTR.exe.
  4. Enter the IP address you want to test in the Host field. Select a game from the dropdown below for a list of IP addresses.
5.Note: If multiple IPs are listed, run a WinMTR test for each IP address.*
  5. Click Start, then launch the game you’re testing. If no connection issue is found in the first 5 minutes, restart the test.
  6. When a connection error occurs, play for at least 5 more minutes, then click Stop in WinMTR.
  7. Click “Export Text” and save the .txt file to your desktop. Name this file WinMTR.
  8. Open above file copy and paste to this thread

I’ve had the same network / connectivity for over 2 years and no issues until you sold out to Microsoft. Not a problem on my end. I got dropped more than 4 times today. I checked my internet just now… 350+ up and down to Internet.

Lots of Internet providers are having issues now and uploading download speed is actually not relevant as long as you have enough to run the game which is about 6 mb . There are lots of issues going on right now with long haul providers plus the weather. I have zero connectivity issues. If there was a huge connectivity issue the forums will be full of posts of connection issue . The amount of connectivity issues are no more than normal
