Essentially says it all. I felt i did decent as frost, but giving arcane a shot tonight in heroic. Does slipstream or shimmer aid in the movement complications more?
I’d go with Slipstream. If you lose an evocation to movement, you’re going to hate yourself.

Well it’s hard to say. I did find this weeks run (my return to raiding as arcane) a bit better but I think it was mostly because I knew the fights better so I could predict better how/when to move, save CD’s, etc.
My damage was still overshadowed significantly by a lower-than-I-geared fire mage who had Azshara trinket+Mechagon bracers+3xBM trait but it was nice just playing arcane again. I felt bad tunneling boss when there were adds to cleave but it is what it is.
I did well enough to get accepted by the guild I was trying out for so there’s that. I got a 450 Azshara trinket so I’ll be interested to see where I end up on the meters next week.
Problem I have right now is my raid build has too much mastery but if I start changing gem/enchants, it lowers it to the point that when running M+ I’ll be drinking between pulls (hate that).

Not too bad.
Last night 39k dps on Abyssal Commander Sivara and 41k on Radiance. Mythic difficulty.
I always use Slipstream with Arcane spec. I like the protection for Evocation plus the slight bit of extra mobile dps during AM channels.

I can’t even get the trinket to drop let alone a titanforged one…if i was fire i’d be pretty jealous right now but nope that trinket sims way lower for me because i’m stuck with this stupid 400 crafted trinket woot!

I just switched back to arcane to give it another try. I usually run with shimmer, but slipstream does make sense for arcane. Blink is usually enough to get out of what you need to except for maybe being across the room at Queen Court when you have to get under the dome.

I envy you guys who can join guilds and run endgame content.
I’m stuck with a dead guild, casual RP friends and no guild for progression.
Can’t get stronger with just random pugs 
I use slipstream. Reasons being I really like the root/stun removal blink has(dont think shimmer has it)
It’s Paku’s trinket all over again, eh? lol
Well I won’t try fire until I have the bracers. My OCD won’t allow it.

Have you thought about changing servers?
This expac alone I’ve been on 3 different servers and faction changed … all to find a guild.
I’m one of the few that will say Slipstream the AM and Evo on the move is nice and reg Blink has a lot of functionality of getting out of snares and such.
The cost is too high for a gamble.
Also, I’m brazillian and my english skills are really basic. The other servers for my zone tend to be either dead or infamous for high levels of toxcicity that I really don’t want to deal with
Shimmer offers quick movement. But slipstream offers evocation while moving. My personal preference would be slipstream. Depends on your play style.
Love me some shimmer for casting Gpro. Cast and shimmer for Tracking down a runner is a fav of mine. Even better cast then jump behind a charger, turn around, by the time they figure out where I am (behind them) tooo late! (You can shimmer while casting Gpro as long as you don’t lose line of sight, hence turn around after you jump behind a charger)
PvP is the bomb.
I prefer shimmer for movement while keeping your rotation going. You can get a lot of mobility out of it if you use displacement beacon.
