So, when you think about it.
“Complete 30 boss kills in LFR” really is quite a feat to do.
It’s an entire expansion of LFR, and LFR isn’t exactly relaxing or fun for many.
That’s a pretty big achievement actually. It will take quite a while to do, and you’ll probably be in quite a few bad groups along the way.
So: Release a recolored LFR only Slimecat.
Blizzard, we both know that you can pop out a recolored mount in a couple hours. All you do is open up the bitmap, drag the tint sliders a bit, and “save as” then copy paste the model with a new reference ID or something equally banal.
This is REALLY easy for you to do, and since you created this whole controversy why not take the way out that lets everyone win, including you for once, in a time where you really need some easy wins.

How about no? Go raid normal for a unique looking mount and get it. Done deal. All devs are currently moved onto DF as of now and working heavily to get DF done before 2023.

I’d rather all hands on deck for DF, even interns, so they can get a polished product out and we can move on from this tragedy called shadowlands sooner. SL made WoD look like a good expansion…that’s sad.

If only there was anyone at the multibillion dollar company who could double click the file, drag a slider, and “save as”, then copy some code.
Snark aside, this simple solution would make some of their customers happy, and it’s easy. Could probably be hotfixed in tonight.

I like the best solution blizz already announced. Go kill normal bosses and you get your mount.

I don’t really care if they expand the slime cat achievement or not…
But as I have said in other threads…Blizz has already made their decision, doubled down on it, and likely moved on to other stuff.
I don’t think they are interested in other solutions at this point. The community also lacks leverage to really demand change.
That would solve the problem as well as be hilarious.

By the time enough people stopped playing and their 1 to 6 months subs ran out DF will release…and then there will be another huge player surge
Also, dont forget about Wraith Classic that doesnt care about slime cat. It will count towards subs and MAUs like just like retail
Honestly, not really. I was able to get a full CN LFR clear done on my rogue alt Tuesday night in about 90 minutes. And that was without a single wipe on any boss and people dead left and right. If it wasn’t for some bosses have different phases, almost all of them would have been dead in about a minute.
3 x 90 minute raids is still four and a half hours of raiding timegated out over three weeks.
I’m not saying it’s truly a test of skill, but it is still big time investment. Bigger than some mounts require, and smaller than others.

What is it with this silly “three week” thing?!? You have entire season to get your 30 kills, a season that is liking going to last 4 months.
Lmao you definitely do not understand how god awful group finder is for raiding every single one of those groups says aotc requires and some dumb ilevel your casual player will probably never see. Raid finder allows anyone who wants to put in a little time and effort in the small timeframe they may have to play to enjoy the raids themselves. Putting the mount in lfr would take 2 minutes it’s as simple as flipping a damn switch to enable the achievement to earn boss kill counts in lfr as well.

Probably not a bad idea. But I would bet a recolor coming anyways based on the forums response to missing this one. Probably as a 6 month sub incentive or something.
