Slicing Winds Range Short?

Just me or does the new slicing winds travel distance feel lack luster? With such a long charge I feel like I could of ran that distance just the same.

Maybe this ability is meant to turn a mobility into damage only but would feel nicer if it gave more or equal travel compared to flying serpent kick.

I agree, the long charge time really justifies a much bigger jump. It should be longer than Flying Serpent Kick, imo. That said, the minimum distance is fine, and I wouldn’t want to increase that.

Yea the short hop is good so you don’t yeet yourself during damage rotations.

Outside of that i feel like you lose damage charging it to re-engage a fight with it and not worth using it for mobility cause it’s barely longer then a roll plus that long charge time.

Maybe add a root break? Or a sprint afterwards.

I mean, if it went as far ask FSK AND did damage, why would anyone stick with FSK?

That said, a root break or a short movement speed boost would be nice.

Well it’s a talent point, it ain’t free. Not to mention fsk is more instant.

I hope the spell is really bad and is never worth taking. But I just don’t like charge up spells so I have a bias.

I kind of hate how a few of our capstones is a comprimise with our mobility versus just a feel good pick.

Like lighter then air shouldn’t increase roll cooldown. If anything it should reduce the cooldown ontop of the double jump.

Or slicing winds should maybe just be an addition not a replacement to FSK. I get they want to minimize button bloat though.

It should have never replaced fsk.

I like the spell because of the fact we use our weapons in the animation. However replacing fsk sucks

it should just work like bladerush does on rogues imo.

leave the press and hold thing for dragons.

I think it could have been an interesting mechanic in that you gather chi based off not breaking mastery and “charge up” [read as build stacks] and unleash a huge hit after you’ve stacked up enough.

Not true.

The damage that slicing winds does is large.

The best part about slicing winds is that the damage component has no interdependency with the charge time

The longer you charge equates to movement distance.

So if you tap it you can fully integrate it into a DPS rotation without having to dh off into oblivion or survival Hunter into a hole without meaning ro

Could you specify what part of my comment you disagree with?
I only made two claims, both of which are fairly mundane and (I’d imagine) hard to argue with.

This would actually be a cool mechanic for chi burst honestly haha. And make it instant …
