Slicing Winds Hitbox Needs Improved

I’ll start by saying I’m not a SW hater.

We did our first 4 mythic tonight and SW hit less than 50% of the time on multiple flights while basically inside the boss most likely because of terrain/elevation differences. It can’t hit the first boss in Rookery during the marrygoround phase and for the same reason it also can’t hit gallywix for the entirety of p1 or when he goes back to the center during add spawns in p3.

Idk what the fix would be for these if it’s just increasing the hitbox size sideways and up/down(?) but something’s gotta change if you’re pushing this as our big capstone. Devs have done a great job with the spec as a whole so hopefully you have some time to get this id day pretty big issue worked out.

Slicing Winds needs to be deleted and SotWL needs to have its damage back.

Apparently SW doesnt hit platform bosses like rookery 1st and 3rd and Gallywix. It’s deep in our tree. It replaces FSK and it’s another button in our rotation and it only serves to spread our damage more across more abilities. And most importantly it’s damage tacked onto mobility, a road which we’ve been down before and decided was crap. It is utter recycled garbage that takes away power from the rest of our spec. Not that it means anything considering Blizz could just design WW to succeed as opposed to be limited.

Please for the love of Xuen, send this ability back to plunderstorm or give it to outlaw rogue and make it replace their hook.

I hate SW and CJL. Send help.

But I prefer SW over CJL. At least it lines up with cooldowns.

I’ve been saying this since the PTR went live. This move in pvp can be 100% immune’d by spamming jump when you see a monk charge it. When they release the move if you are in motion at all in the jump animation (going up or going down) it will not hit you. I have been pointing this out for months now and I am happy other people are seeing it in pve also.

It was a crap move in plunder storm and it is the same crap move on monk. But no all the cultist had to say it was BiS and “fits” the monk… Nothing about monk should be cast timers.

Can’t be a Slade post without bringing up the “cultists”, eh. Fwiw, I generally like SW, but I like it for when it works correctly. I don’t particularly care for the aesthetics, and I obviously don’t appreciate the bugs.

Literally been a part of monk for 10+ years. Having an empowered spell is new, but that part is a good fit for monk imo.

Imagine having a slightly nuanced view of things.

Can it really be a cult thing when I’ve been pretty vocal about not liking Slicing Winds and hating both the empower and movement as damage?
