I’ve seen some rogues have the SnD icon next to their toon on their screen as its counting down the remaining duration of SnD so they know when to refresh. It looks exactly like an Omnibar setting, but I can’t figure out how to do it that way.
Anyone know what I’m talking about/how to get it working? It looks exactly like the buff countdown in the upper right hand corner, just larger on their screen so they can keep track of it.

Yeah, lots of addons have a way to do this.
Another option in addition to the ones mentioned is bartender and moving the snd icon on a bar by its own to wherever on the screen you want to see it.
Or NeedToKnow bars.
This topic is fun for me - the first addon I wrote and released to the public was called DiscoDice in 2005 and all it did was provide a moveable Slice and Dice tracker bar 
I don’t think the icon itself gives the duration of the countdown, but this is actually a good idea because I forget almost every single game to put slice and dice up lol. I got straight from dotting to mutilates/envenoms.

You know what, you’re absolutely right - it shows cooldown time remaining, but not active buff time remaining. Good call.
