A long time ago, we as adventures would end up slaying dragons because it was one of those old fashioned DnD things. I.E. slay the dragon, rescue the princess. Or King Arthur.
Now since we’re nearing the end of Dragonflight, we have a Little Scalies Daycare center. Just mentioning that gives me some head pains.
If you were given the option, would you continue to slay dragons, or save them? Before you get your panties in a twist, we’ve killed hundreds of whelpings before.
I would actually slay.

Would slay regardless of corruption?
Save them all and turn them into an unstoppable army to serve my world conquering goals.

Why slay when you could ride 'em?
Sure, give them a bit of time to grow. And whilst growing they can do slaying for me, in the form of battling pets.

If they dropped a pet, I’d slay countless armies of them without remorse. Wetlands and Swamp of Sorrows already proved that point.
If they offered me a pet, or even a few silver, I’d save them. That said, I’d go back to slaying them if it turned out they also dropped a pet.

Because taking care of kids, let alone a baby dragon, would be an absolute chore. One I don’t want to take.

hmm… save. but! then train them to be mounts for war. like the dragonmaw orcs did.
minus the… stuff they did to the older dragons.
or slay if they got too uppity/started attacking me.
situations change, y’know. can’t really do one, without the other. can’t slay dragons/make a nice dragonscale coat without dragons to fight.

Fair enough. Then use your pets for battle and let them slay other things in glorious POKéMON battle pets competitions!
The irritating little whelps at Littlescales pushed me more towards dragon slaying, not further away from it.
Lots of ivory and gold statues in Valdrakken. It would be a shame if someone were to sack it.
I like birbs better. I don’t know why.

true OP. for example, there’s that rep-grind/quest-chain in pandaria where you raise a wind-serpent from a hatchling. that was… that was something.
have’nt done the little scales daycare stuff (mostly cause i just don’t care to), so i dunno how it matches up to it, but if raising a dragon is like that? then they’re a handful.
oh wait… i read that backwards… you were comparing kids to raising a baby-dragon… not the other way around… oops.

You raise a whelp from each flight. You help them overcome their fears or shortcomings.
The red whelp is a brat, the bronze whelp is fearful…or alergic? Anyway. That’s the idea. They’re irritating. The wind serpents were somewhat endearing.

Fairly sure most of the full sized dragons would eat most of you in one bite. Personally I’m for saving the Dragons and befriending them so I can have a choice of ally and maybe even ride along friend.

If this expansion has proven anything, it’s that the dragons are disorganized, slow to act in their own best interest and not nearly as formidable as their size and reputation would imply.
The Horde or Alliance would make short work of Valdrakken. But we’re not allowed to have fun anymore.

They can do the same thing to a doggo. Though I’m not too sure how they would digest metal so easily if I were to be consumed.
Ew.
It depends… are you paying me to save or paying to slay? Players will do anything’s for a few gold and the chance for a new doodad.

As a DK, I’m insulted you’d even ask us if we’d Anakin a dragon daycare. The answer is: We already have. How else do you think we got those spiffy mounts back in Legion?
