Slave Pens boosts are disgusting

I don’t have anything against boosting… As ling as it is done for friends and guild members without the expectation of getting paid.
As soon as you pay gold or rlm for it, it becomes an affront to the genre of a rpg imo and should be banned by the ToS.

Lmao imagine maining a rogue in TBC and telling others they’re inadequate.

A) Get over yourself.
B) Don’t presume you find questing fun for the 10th time that others do. That is arrogant.
C) What is it to you how other people play the game.
D) As long as real money isn’t used Blizz isn’t going to do anything about it.

And for the record the displacement of SP-boosting players and other boosters from the dungeon play pool actually does have a very real and negative impact on people who just started in TBC. Significantly, it makes it very difficult if not impossible for them to find groups for the dungeons in their level ranges. Dungeons that people bypass like Uldamann or Zul’Farrak cost them exponentially large sums of gold to get run through to experience the game - therefore perpetuating the cycle. Dungeons like BRD that people don’t sell boosts for on the other hand short charge them for gear.

With limited avenues for low level players to make large sums of gold to afford the dungeon trips and the gear WoW becomes a cash shop for them almost immediately upon reaching lv 58 because they get slaughtered in Outlands with their Feralas quest greens.

This is not rocket science.

So you’d be perfectly fine if someone was shooting up dope and leaving needles at your kids’ playground?

-Sure it’s a slippery slope argument, but fact is “It’s how they play life.”

What’s disgusting is people who feel the need to control how others play the game, frankly.

no, what is disgusting is people who actively and vengefully are destroying the server community. I count boosters, gold sellers, GDKP runner and tanks who charge gold into that category.

We didn’t have such greedy bstrds (well… except for the gold sellers) back in the original release days… must be the negative retail influence…

I don’t get it either.

Luckily on my server I am still having random fun leveling and the punch clock parsers don;t effect me, if I decide to raid later it’ll be chill or nil.

Thank you for providing an example of exactly what I was talking about.

fun is any way anyone wants to play the game. stop tying to force everyone into your cookie cutter opinion

The POINT is that Gold Sellers/Boosters don’t PLAY the game, to them it’s a JOB.
The two are not the same. JESUS how DENSE are some of you people?! Really!?

that depends on how many time’s you’ve done it. I was here in 2007, and I levled 30 some odd toons from 2007-2014 on diffrent servers, there is nothing new for me to see in outland dungeons, heck outland is very boring as is, the raids are great, the zones after my 31st play through yea I’m ok skipping via a boost as much as i can

Oh no, people are levelling the way I dont want them to!

This.

The good news is the Boomers are finally dying off. The bad news is that GenZ & Millenials has picked up where Boomers left off.

Now we understand where misanthropy begins and ends.

Dumb thread

Lmao

Yeah economies not allowed to spend money in the USA.

All those North Korean gold farmers out there like whoa.

ah yes, a completely on-rails “main quest” where you’re forced to do a specific chain of quests, and dungeons that are piss easy

truly a much superior leveling experience to WoW’s

lmao

This isn’t retail.

I did this on my alt while watching movies.

10/10 would do again.

Im sorry once you hit 70 on one toon the drive to do it on another goes right out the window for me.

You and I been playing the same FF14? You definately need tanks and healers in dungeons. Especially ones like Aurum Vale. That dungeon was made to slap people who DoT everything and AOE damage as 1 wrong tab target and you pull 10 mobs.

I haven’t paid for a SP boost, but I kinda get it. I have 5 characters all above level 60 and let me tell you - I am sick of questing and leveling. I love the experience of playing a new class but honestly that grind BLAH
