Slappy hands

What are the odds we get to keep our slappy hands cov ability as maybe a talent in next expansion? I need it!!:sob::sob:

hopefully it becomes like a level 70 talent BUT, itll probably be gone

yeah, after the gargoyle debacle i dont think we would let the devs off the hook if they took a level 60 ability we had for an expansion and took it away for 10 levels just to give it back as a “our new flagship talent” for the next expansion

how about it goes baseline and we get something else as a level 70 talent.

I think this is going to be a core spell for DK going forward. But one thing it really needs is to be able to glyph it to remove the pull effect. That would allow for usage in certain fights and affixes where you can maximize the dps return.

It will most likely go away, it is part of the current borrowed power system.

Honestly, for frost, i’d rather we get to keep the deaths due effect and have it baked into DND. Right now frost has no interaction with DND and this would give us a way to be able to AOE outside of Breath of Sindragosa.

I read priests are keeping Mind Games – which is insane.
If they get to keep Mind Games, that seems like evidence we’ll get to keep Slappy Hands.

Given what Ion said in his interviews ealier last month I would expect we will see some new baseline addition to each class next expansion. As for what they will be I think your guess is as good as mine. We have no way of knowing if the plan is to bring back more older spells, create brand new ones, or just choose one covenant abilities from each class update it and bake it in.

I think it is also fairly likely the Covenant spells, soulbinds, and other system stay in place when doing Shadowlands content. There are even a number of places were things like Door of Shadows or Soulshape are required for a quest or collectables. It is fairly likely this power will become inaccessible outside of the Shadowlands. For those who remember the original plan was to have all SL borrowed power be inaccessible the moment you left Shadowlands zones/ content. Seeing as the spell will likely still exist I think it is somewhat unlikely that the team would at a second version of it to our base kit but it is not impossible.

I have my doubts that we’ll get to keep Abom limb moving forward. It was a cool, impactful ability that will hurt to lose.

But I felt the same way when we lost artifact weapons, by the time you’re clearing Mythic 0s the week before raid releases and have adjusted to the new systems you’ll get used to it, mostly. I still miss Artifact traits like insane shields when Vamp blood fades or giving the party 20% leach for 15 seconds on a 45 second CD, running 1 tank/4 DPS through +15s.

Yes but so were many legion artifact weapon abilities that are now talents or baseline

Slappy hands is fun but it can get you in big trouble ><

Well, it has precedent. Remember, we got to keep Apocalypse after Legion…not all classes got to keep their signature weapon ability from Legion.
