Update: I proposed a change to the guild bank, and players with Raider rank can now withdraw from the Guild Vault. All is good!
So the Message of the Day in my guild is asking people to donate materials for feasts and cauldrons. Cool.
I have extra gold so I spent 47,853g on enough materials to get:
10x 18 stats feasts
4x 20 stats feasts
3x Cauldrons
As I was about to deposit I realized something. I don’t have permission to withdraw from the guild bank. NOTHING.
I’m ranked Raider in the guild and I feel cheated by this. I deposited in the bank anyway, because I already bought it. But from now on I won’t be donating to the guild. It’s much cheaper to make my own food and flasks.
Then I realized something oh snap I’m on my alt, that MUST be why I can’t withdraw.
I get on my main. NONE. Not a single tab for raiders to withdraw enchants or tomes, Mana potions, etc. None!
I feel cheated.
Is this ok? Or am I overeacting?
Why don’t you just…ask for permissions?

If you need anything from the bank you deposited into it you can’t get it. Who can is the question. Someone is benefiting from you being in the guild. What are they doing for you?

Well,do they provide feasts and cauldrons on raid nights? Repairs? Is it the only tab you can’t withdraw from?
I’m Raider (rank) and I can’t withdraw from any tab. Yes they provide feasts and cauldrons but I’m an alchemist so I only need 2 when everyone else needs 3… Why not just make / buy my own stuff?

Maybe don’t contribute so much unless you’re sure you’re getting value out of it?
I wouldn’t call that being selfish… that’s just common sense to protect yourself.

I think that asking your GM for permission to withdraw would be more effective than going behind their back to try and get sympathy on the forum; we can’t do anything for you. The guild asked for donations and you obliged; if you are a raider then it will come back to you at some point, granted that was a rather large donation (more than I or most people would likely contribute to someone we don’t know personally.)

does you guild leadership give out enchants and feasts when you need?
I have never got anything but feasts from the guild. And I always have my own food too. I just take the feasts because intellect is slightly better.
I lock my entire guild bank and make sure that people can only put in more then what they take out, so that way if I have a fallout in the friendship with the guildie, if they were foolish to donate gold, I might have lost a guildie but at least I made $$$

It would have been a lot more effective to just ask them about their bank policy OP. No guild leader is obligated to give things out from the bank, and sometimes they will keep access closed and just require that you ask an officer if you want anything, so nobody raids the supply to sell on the AH.

Why not have a tab with enchants, tomes, potions, and only allow like 2-3 withdraws a day?

You do understand this is something you should have taken up with your guild leader and other officers right? It’s not like we can give you that permission.
