Slanted Eyes For Night Elves When?

The Nightborne have more slanted eyes, which are in my opinion, reminiscent of Asian people. Which is something that I personally find pretty cool.

The Nightborne evolved from the Night Elves, and the Night Elven architecture is VERY Japanese inspired. So I would like to see Night Elves get that Eye option as well.

I interpreted the eye shape as more of a glare

millions of Korean girls would disagree, nip tuck that slant to get more white eyes

Uh
I’m not sure that Korean Girls don’t like their eyes, but weird take on it I guess.

Indeed they did. Which is why their eyes are different. It’s also supposed to be a haughty look of the upper class.

I don’t feel that Night Elves should be taking things from Nightborne. But I do think Nightborne still don’t look like Nightborne NPCs and they still need work.

I always took it as the upper-class glare.

Personally I think all elves should take more things from each other.

Let them mix and match customizations and body types over and over like one big mĂ©lange until we’re left with one single race:

I don’t see why not, other Allied Races have had things that were added to them, incorporated into their base races, and vice versa. I think it’s a natural progression of the customization scene.

Although honestly, at this point I think the Nightborne look spot on for the most part. As opposed to Night Elf men, that need a rework of their waists.

But I’m never going to be opposed to any race getting more love. Because it just means that someone who plays that race, will be happy for more options.

Makes sense. I know that elves in 40k have large slanted eyes, and they move freakishly perfect. It makes humans skin crawl when they see it. They are humanoid in form but that’s about it.

40k is just too good and in depth for any game developer to make it perfect.

I think this is fine where the base race and AR are closely related, for example void elves are literally blood elves that very recently got infused with void, so them using belf hairstyles or skin colors is not that crazy,
Same with Draenei or LFD, they’re literally the same Draenei just that some underwent a light ritual, so stuff like tail length, etc should not be locked to a single one.

However, things, where the main race evolved and has been isolated for a long time, are different in my eyes.
The glare is one of the key visual differences between night elves and nightborne, showcasing that the nightborne still are the elitist ancient highborne society that the current night elves disbanded.

I’d love more stuff for night elves, but let’s not take what’s unique to nightborne.

The bug eyes Night Elves got after the WoD update ruined the race for me. Same thing with Forsaken ladies and even the Draenei a little bit.

Ummm
 wut?

No, it isn’t.

Also: That’s racist.

don’t get me started on the permanent sneer they put on blood elves faces. makes them look like they just realized they stepped in poo.

No, it’s not racist in the slightest, to say that I’d like an option to show representation for a culture that part of the race was inspired by, lmao.

Look at the buildings, and then let me know again. If you need help, look up Japanese buildings, or even go watch Avatar the Last Air Bender. The Fire Nation is inspired by Japan, and their buildings also look similar to Night Elven ones, go figure.

There were like 3 faces that had smiles and they ruined them. Since Draenei/BEs shared faces, we also got hit with this but for some reason they enlarged our noses. I guess to make them look different then BEs with the update.

Actually, cosmetic eye surgery is very popular in Korea.

I would not go that far, although I don’t really see a reason to give the “features” to a non-human race whose culture it’s inspired by.

Current day night elf architecture is clearly Japanese inspired, with some others thrown in as well like greek. But I’d say it’s mainly Japanese.

Those eyes are specifically a nightborne feature and isn’t related to being asian in any way. It’s to make them look more aristocratic and haughty.

I did, and you’re wrong.

MoP was an entirely “Asian inspired” expansion. Night Elf buildings look nothing like those buildings.

MoP buildings are literal examples of what you’re talking about, Night Elf buildings are not.

If you can’t understand how “I want slanted eyes because ‘Asian’” is offensive, then HR would like to have a word with you.
