Blizzard, it’s almost been like 7 months (going 8, now) since the release of 8.3…
We, your playerbase, community and fanboys/gals are waiting for some content that’s meaningful for the upcoming expansion.
These, alpha and beta invites will still remain a mystery, for its rare to get an invite and if one does, they risk being spoiled.
So,blizz! we have paid your daily salaries through subscription and greed by buying cash shop goodies or pre purchasing expansion. Therefore, for all thats good just announce us the pre patch details or just release the damn thing already…
More waiting, would just destroy, whatever hope we have left for you…
Even without details it’s not hard to predict. It’ll happen a few weeks to a month before the release, as they always do. There’s a good chance the pre-patch will be in October or early November.
It’s not in any ready release state yet. The events aren’t even on the beta so far and everything else is still being balanced and figured out. Patience!
They said fall 2020 so September 22nd at the earliest. They kept it vague with the “Fall” release date for a reason, if they need more time they can just release it in december since it will still be fall technically.
Fall is September 22nd - December 21st incase anyone doesn’t know
Hopefully when "It’s Ready"™, but given they have that article/feature thing published now as a disclaimer for stuff going away with Shadowlands, my bet is Soon™ and by that probably October? November maybe?
Based on my observation that Blizz is pretty bad at giving sufficient time with their heads up type of announcements.
There’s plenty to do in the game right now that’s meaningful, there are a thousand guilds working on Mythic Nzoth at the moment, for instance (that’s 40% of the guilds that have beaten carapace still working on Nzoth).
What’s your point? We’re currently experiencing the shortest time periods of final major patches compared to other expansions (WotLK and MoP for example).
They don’t really owe you special information just because you decide to throw money at them still.
It won’t be anytime this month considering the release of AQ in Classic is happening next week. Or rather, the patch is released and most people will be double timing it to open AQ.
Expect it in a couple months. I’m begging for them to hold off on it because of how everything tightly lines up between Classic, Shadowlands, and FFXIV.
Honestly I’d rather wait until January or February and lvl alts than have a rushed xpac here that requires massive bandaid patches to fix and yes I prepurchased. If they come out and announce “Hey y’all we can’t get it done in time for a fall release” I’m good with that. They won’t do it…they’d rather rush it out the door, but I wish they would here.
Well. Considering we keep getting the flags being raised that we’ll be moving on into the next expansion soon and that people need to be ready for it by completing the time sensitive stuff they wanna complete, I’d say probably early September.
