Everyone has to go to bastion first right?
Even with layering i can just see this being VERY VERY LAGGY…
Usually most people are all around scattered a bit not smushed in one single zone.
Everything i have seen in my 10+ years of playing this game tells me bastion is going to be a LAG FEST.
It’s going to be a PARTY! 
I enjoy the chaos not going to lie…only because i watch a streamer on the 2nd monitor
Every single launch since BC has been nearly unplayable because of the lag. It’s just part of an MMO when everyone logs in to see the changes for the first time.
Everyone has to go do entry quest in The Maw first which… is going to be horrific with lag and rubber banding and worse.
Never play wow on launch day. You will thank me later.
It might be similar to the WoD launch when everyone went right into the same zone. I expect it to get much better after a few weeks.
So basically… the same as it’s been for every expansion launch day in the history of the game?

If they haven’t fixed it - it will be way worse. There is a point in the quest where you have to kill mobs for keys… with a really low drop rate and only about 20 mobs. I am hoping their sharding tech is up to pare, otherwise just… LOL.

The lag is part of the fun of launch day, with disconnects, log in queues…
Imagine Black Friday madness… which I always avoid, but it’s fun to see an mmo super lively.
Here’s the strategy to avoid the lag going into Shadowlands:
Run. Don’t look back. Ignore Kleia and Pelagos. Just run.
