SL just too hard?

I’m sitting here now, wondering what I could do for endgame progression and I mentally groan.

Torghost is a pain.
M+ is a pain with no payout.
I have no chance of getting into a raid let alone attempting to organize one.
And I’ve done all the daily chores I can stomach without feeling like my soul is slowly withering away.

Hmph…will it get better next week?

I feel like if you don’t enjoy raid/m+/rated pvp then it might be best to leave for a bit? Even if you wanted to just do transmog farms, the ilvl scaling makes things rough right now. So give it till 9.1 for the core SL issues to be fixed and for the scaling to be sorted out.

Multiple ways to play late game other than those three areas. Although they are obviously the most saturated parts of the game.

Exploring is fun if you’re into the achievements and collections.

Being rich is always good too if you’re into farming. Then you buy your mythic stuff :). Money is power in wow too.

Anyway the sky’s the limit - but if you’re competetive I’d say to just try and get better at one of those three areas. They’re all rewarding in their own way.

Game has been going this way for a very long time now (MOP). Casual content is chores while the hardcores get all the benefits from all the content.

I remember being able to do all the content save raids on the hardest difficulty back in the day as a casual. Now? Not so much.

I enjoyed the levelling so will run one more char through it, then I am unsubbing until 9.1 or 9.2, whenever more casual content ia released. Daily chores are not worth the sub alone.

Wait, why?

No guaranteed loot for M+ atm except at the end of the week. Even then it’s only one piece that might not be an upgrade.
Plus with PuGs and current harsh curb you get little return other than repair bills for your efforts or at least that’s how I feel atm.

Raiding is going to be tricky for the first week, next will at least get me into LFR…though I seem to remember having an easier time for BFA. I am not very confident of getting into a Normal group with the current state that Fury is in atm, since anyone looking for peak DPS won’t be picking them up especially if they figure out which Covenant I picked.

What was that little Gnome, I couldn’t hear you behind that sword, lol

I’m just confused by this. You guys don’t want the game to be bloated with time commitments and long grind. Fine.

But apparently any kind of challenge is also too much of a “pain” to deal with.

So… what do you exactly want? A movie that rains gear upon you for watching it?

This is the no frills expansion, it’s not going to get easier until at least 9.10 when they add the next raid and a catch up gear system.

I wouldn’t exactly call waiting for RNG to award loot a “challenge”. It’s more like an extra long chore with no guarantee of a payoff.

Then there’s PvP. There’s a vendor there, all you have to do is play the game and you get loot.

I don’t mind a challenge I can beat but with the current gearing curve it feels like Blizzard attached a steel ball and chain to my leg.

Everyone’s in that boat and people are doing just fine.

Pro-Tip : Tank specs blast through Torgast.

I’ve already blasted through Layer 4 and still don’t feel good about it.

This trickle of dirt water content blows.

You get your pay out on Tuesday with the weekly chest, like you always have. And gear drops are random, like they’ve always been.

176 item level is totally fine for normal mode, and right now is the best time to try because there’s no aotc yet. Why can’t you get into a raid?

Well its much less and it sucks. Shows in the number of posts springing up like weeds on the forum.

If the majority have already flocked to their BiS Covenant with mentality of only using the best, what chance in hell does someone being Prot or Fury Warrior have of getting into a raid group when they’re currently kissing the bottom of the barrel?

You vastly overestimate how much people care. If you show up and do your job well, you’re fine. You’re just quitting before you even try and are blaming everything else.

Doesn’t stop anyone else from gearing up. If you want gear, put in the work for it, if not, you don’t get it.

I do miss the days of TBC/WoTLK where we had intro raids. I’m glad LFR has gradually gotten harder, but I feel as though they’re trying to make normal far more difficult than it’s supposed to be. Not strat-wise, but numbers-wise.

Vanilla is a different story for many reasons…classic didn’t really capture the hopeful pugs that couldn’t get anything done past 1-2 bosses very well, but MC didn’t feel like a starter raid back then.

Anyways, I think SL is great overall, but I may agree on them over-tuning a few portions of it…
