SL is very not disabled friendly

Shadowlands isn’t friendly to anyone but the people on Ion’s friends list.

The suits a Blizzard just can’t see it.

If they made Torghast optional like the Mage Tower that would help a lot. I know that a lot of youtubers love Torghast but its doesn’t belong in WOW.

Bump for visibility. I hope blizzard considers your concerns OP

I’m sorry you have a disability, but I think blizzard has done the best they can to cater to people with disabilities.

Unfortunately it’s also not very fair if you’re asking blizzard to lower the skill ceiling to the detriment of the rest of the player base who enjoy pushing their skills to their limitations and beyond.

As someone who loves wow and gaming, I’m terrified of something bad happening to my hands, I actually quit one job where I was working behind a saw because I got to paranoid I might have an accident and not be able to game anymore, so I have compassion or your situation op.

That said blizzard has things like lfr and multiple tiers of raiding difficulty, and have added lots of other fun things to do and explore in the game that isnt high end raiding.

As other suggested Classic is a slower pace with less button spam etc so maybe you might find find that more your style, I know classic gets alot of shade thrown at it but personally I love classic and dont understand where all the hate comes from.

All the best op.

Pretty much. For me, I can’t hold them and manipulate the buttons easily. The way my hands and wrists need to twist just doesn’t work.

I agree. They could’ve made the storyline parts all scenario style without the need to be in the actual instance for that long with all of those mechanics.

Making Torghast optional and the storyline scenario style wouldn’t be changing anything for anyone else.

Storyline is a great idea especially if it rewarded soul ash. I still need my leggo. lol Maybe have WQ reward Soul Ash too. In BFA Azerite was a WQ Reward. So you didn’t have to do island expedition to get Azerite.

I know you want to be able to tackle it yourself but grouping up is always an option, too. You can even bring other players to the story sections, the parts you access from that pillar thing.

Even a lot of able-bodied players still group up, makes it fun to chat in voice with someone and not have to worry about the boss getting an unlucky blow, killing you and resetting.

Considering there have been players who have cleared raids who are blind:
https://www.engadget.com/2013-03-07-blind-player-ben-shaw-on-raiding-and-wow-for-the-sightless.html
entire guilds who have cleared mythic raids who are deaf:
https://www.wowhead.com/news=318313/the-deaf-raiding-guild-undaunted-has-defeated-mythic-nzoth
plus countless players missing limbs, birth defects, medical conditions, etc, who have done the same, etc… I’d say it’s safe to say wow is very friendly and accessible to the disabled…

And when you can find stories of people with severe hand issues from CP and the like who have gotten through progression current content, please feel free to link that.

The point of this thread is concerning current content and ways to help people with such disabilities as the OP. Let’s not degrade the thread and tunnel vision on one statement out of an entire conversation.

There’s also this cp content creator who plays 1 handed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7h-7VMMOmKw

Indeed, that’ll help with Torghast. Excellent point. :slightly_smiling_face:

But fights like the Blood Council are still and issue. It’s possible a track ball may help with that. But I’m unsure. Ill have to keep thinking through stuff I researched when I needed to find a solution for my RA.

Current content is not a year ago. Stop derailing the conversation.

This may help too, since SL added support for this controller.

Indeed, that may be something to try. I know we talked about regular controllers, but that one looks very different and might be a good option.

it’s one that many people with disabilities, including cp use for xbox and pc/steam for years oO surprised you are unaware of it. only thing new is shadowlands adding support for it.

Oh well…?

Okay? It’s one I haven’t seen before. I’m complimenting you on the find. Why are you always wanting to start an argument where there is none? :woman_shrugging:t4:

Know what? I’m just going to stop. There’s no appeasing you in any conversation.

That would be tricky, and I’m not sure what would be a good solution to something like Blood Council.

I love my Corsiar but I know something like a gamepad would have more bind options… I thought gamepads were dead but apparently lots of people still enjoy them.

I just pulled an example up on Amazon, this isn’t an endorsement or anything but maybe look into something like the Razer Tartarus v2 Gaming Keypad.

Yeah, I found the G600 mouse that works well for me, since my right hand is mostly okay. Gamepad might be a good option too. I hope something works for the OP. :slightly_smiling_face:

well if you feel the need to hijack people’s threads, and reply to every comment in place of the OP, then not sure why’d you not expect discourse?

just one of those thing i’ve noticed in many of the posts i’ve seen you in, you tend to start replying to all the replies as if you’re the OP. kinda weird.
