Given that its a big feature…

Are you impressed with customization offerings?

What are you most excited for?

Is there something you wanted that you know you wont get or fear you wont get?

Do you wish alternative body styles or true slider customization was being offered?

Do you wish they had added armor dyes?

What customization feature overrall would make you happiest that has not been presented thus far?

My only worry is the mog/gear in game wont really represent the culture of the sub races we are getting via skins and what not. It’s not like we will be getting heritage armor for the various troll race skins. So while I’m sure people will enjoy the flavor of more they might lose that hype when they cant mog well. Kinda like the Nightborne.

I’m certainly not going to complain about it. It’s the first time in so long since they’ve upgraded customizations, and personally I believe folks should be grateful for all these massive changes. But that’s just me. I don’t know if others are unhappy, but I’m just pleased to have more things!

Given the times we are in this is going to come off bad but I am super excited to be able to make my characters different shades of brown or black. I can make a drow, what is not exciting about that?
Body sliders I am on the fence about, the same as armor dyes. I am just not sure that WoW is able to support sliders or dyes. I would like have some body options because I feel that would be an easy “fix” for the devs and I am okay with having gear come in more colors. That could add something to professions where you can create transmog only gear in different colors.
I still want player housing or Blizzards take on it. More like the MoP farm than the WoD garrison or a mix of the two.

It’s not the full on Skyrim-type customization, but it’s close enough!
I don’t think it’s going to be enough to carry over for people who are disappointed with gameplay and class changes.
It’s alpha. We don’t know everything that is coming yet.
I can’t make an assessment.
I’m hyped for the undead customization for sure. The rest is meh, sept the 2 buns hairstyle for female humans.
I agree there’s definitely not enough troll armor in the game, even though they have been here since vanilla. Trolls were my favorite race on horde.
I’d suggest going with some generic options. There’s a t shirt from fight club that is a very nice bead and tooth shirt thing. I think it’s even called witch doctors beads - then you just find some pants that fit, no bracer, no glove etc.
I think the secces of new horizons: animal crossing means we are indeed in for another garrison type system in the future. So many people love that game, my wife included.
I agree I’m grateful too.

I was under the impression they have said we have only seen a portion of the customizations…?
I think considering we could have gotten nothing new at all it’s pretty good.
Even if I would love a new class. Especially since a while back a lot of people thought a Tinker class is/was in the works.
Piloting a Tank, Mech or Warframe would be super duper.

That was a while ago though I believe and we have seen much more datamined since then.

They’re neat so far, but there’s a lot we haven’t seen. Most of it has been textures when there’s more promised!
White/fox-colored worgen and high elves on the Alliance
Worgen tails, druid antlers
Are there people who don’t?
Give worgen tails

There can never be enough customization, but this is a good start.

Yes considering they have done very little with it since the model revamp.
The big changes like wildhammer customization, forest trolls, boneless undead, void elf skin colors.
Red Draenei and red Orcs.
Yes obviously, this is legitimately a staple in most mmo’s nowadays why is WoW so far behind?? Give us body sliders!
No.
It won’t happen in Shadowlands but that sliders of course. Height sliders, body size sliders, massive facial customization, basically the stuff normal mmo’s have and WoW should’ve had years ago.

at this point the only thing they can actually do to satisfy all the people are sliders
for me, the customization is plenty but i’ve never felt the need to attach to my identity to anything unique to stand out
Impressed? Not yet. I’m happy with them and encouraged by them and given hope by the entire thing. They’re finally open to doing this for us and making it a priority. That’s nothing but good.
Human female hair. I have hated the human female hair since they updated the human female model. I has never fit on their heads properly, and the textures have been very off-putting and wrong, making all of them look messy. The new ones look very nice.
I’m also very excited to have a wider range of skin tones and features for the humans, and fewer derpy faces–especially the males.
In fairness, since they’re still actively working on these and updating them all the time, nobody knows they aren’t getting anything.
What I want but think we might not get:
- I want them to update the old hairstyles with better textures and fit, too, instead of just adding new ones. I’m fixated on the human female model’s hair options because I’ve hated all of them for years and play a lot of humans. I want more sharing of style shapes between the races and the over-the-shoulder long braid made available to humans (or something similar).
- I want them to fix the state of male Night Elf body shape wrongness (the chest-to-waist ratio and awkward hips).
- I want them to update the old and super dated dances, but they’re not likely to do that.
- I’d like to see white quality armor sets available for transmog.
- I’d like to see a weapon size slider so we could have weapons that fit our smaller races without dragging/clipping into the ground if we saw fit to do so.
- I’d like the Forsaken and Darkspear to be given the option to stand up straight.
- I’d like the shoulders to be resized for female toons to look more reasonable so I wouldn’t feel compelled to hide ALL of them.
- I would like a wider range of animated emotes.
I think that’s quite enough, though I could come up with more.
Sure, I mean more customization is better. I really believe that.
Again, more options for making a toon feel the way a player wants it to are good. I don’t necessarily hanker for this, but it’s a basic thing that many people have wanted since the dawn of the game.
Night Elf male model shape correction. They deserve love, and they deserve to be beautiful. They’re tall, thicc elven men. They should be GORGEOUS.
