I was wondering if the Skyshards you need to collect to remove Alani’s shield do still drop. I’ve been farming for hours and not a single one has dropped for me.
I just wish you could get the first one easily and then the other 9 with the current drop rate. So then you know it’s working and you’re not wasting your time (well you are, but you know what I mean).
I think I saw this mount going to a low price on the AH recently. I would check there if you need it for yourself.
I don’t mind the grind (much…). I just need confirmation it’s still possible to get the shards. Besides, I have only 50k+ gold 
I wish I could confirm it for you, but I’ve honestly only ever gotten one of the skyshards and that was when MoP was current content. I’ve tried to grind for them and no luck, too.
I’m pretty sure that they still do. They just have an extremely low drop rate.
I removed the shield once after MoP, so if they stopped dropping, it’s a recent thing.

If you have a druid from time to time there are groups that farm for skyshards. I usually get about 5 skyshards every thirty minutes. So they definitely do spawn still.
Had one drop for my alt incidentally while on a mining run.
I received a Skyshard yesterday so they’re still dropping. I now have 3.
I’ve gotten 20 of them from just doing the assaults.

Yes they are. Got one the other day when I was getting meat to feed my little bug friend in Uldum.
I honestly forgot that dragon was a thing. I gave up farming those crystals pretty early on.
Yes, they are still dropping, at the same old miniscule rate. I farmed these for near 100 hours during MoP and only got 8 (on the farming toon). Had one drop during legion farming trillium and last one dropped last month. I did get two other single drops on other toons doing the assaults looks like you just have to keep farming.

I get them all the time. I already have the mount which I got back when pandaria was current content. I have completed one of the gems and keep getting more shards.

They do. Ive gotten one in the last 10 days or so. I think I have 6 total now.

I can confirm that the shards still drop. I can also confirm that you can still obtain the mount from Alani in the MoP version of the Vale after talking to Zirdormi.
They do… While I’ve only actively farmed for them a couple of times I actually got my first one a couple of weeks ago… I put it in my bank to mock me because 1) I hate farming and 2) I’ll probably never get another one.
Bought one for 15k a few weeks ago. Shocking cheap given what a pain in the butt it is to get.
