Skyrider Racing World Quests award a Sky Racer’s Purse. In Dragonflight, these purses yielded ~500 gold, but this was nerfed (along with other WQ gold rewards) during the pre-patch event.
Now that The War Within is live, there are World Quests that yield values similar to Dragonflight values (600-800 gold) but that Sky Racer’s Purse only gives about 150 gold (and a handful of Resonance Crystals).
Is this intended or an oversight?
They really need to fix this , there is 0 point to doing any of the dragon races now. Might as well go to dragonflight and do those races , which are better in my opinion. But wouldn’t be surprised if blizzard just wants our sub money by making the players poor.

Bumping because this seems like a mistake that was made when they nerfed the gold from the other racer’s purses for the last expansion.
New expansion rewards should be 500+ gold the way it was when Dragonflight was current content… otherwise, what’s the point? Hopefully they fix this with the next maintenance along with the other World Quest bugs (not rewarding rep was the reason I was even on the Bug Report forums this evening).

The chance that you receive any sort of acknowledgement from these forums is pretty close to 0.
Not surprised with how terrible blizzard has been with responding to tickets and such lol.
After the Thursday maintenance, still only 162g 26s. 
What a damn shame, I used to enjoy dragon races and it was rewarding getting a decent payout for doing them. Huge L blizzard
One more bump before tomorrow’s maintenance. These racing purses kept me logging in almost daily during Dragon Flight. If I don’t have a good reason to log in then it will be back to playing twice a week just for raids. I doubt their shareholders will be happy about that! 
Is this actually a bug?
I thought so at first, dragon purses award just 150-160 gold, whereas other world quests award 800+ gold. I thought maybe they mixed up the rewards with the nerfed dragonflight purses?
But no. The purses in war within do not contain any drake cosmetic unlocks. The purses in war within DO award resonance crystals. They are different items with separate drop tables.
Which means the laughably low payout is intentional, not a bug, right?

I’m still hoping that this is a bug. How do they expect people who don’t do professions or play the AH to have enough gold to pay for repairs? There aren’t even as many world quests rewarding gold like there were in DF. I made a grand total of 3k gold doing every single world quest available on Tuesday. That’s not even enough to buy a single low quality gem. 
Blizzard is a clown show lol I would say it’s unbelievable but it’s not really they’ve been doing this s h i t for years
