I’m glad you feel better and got rid of motion sickness. Just don’t throw up on your laptop or pc moo
The other item I would add to my list is don’t use mounts that bob up and down.
Yes, The Paladin mounts are a pain with their weaving movements in skyriding. I don’t understand why they added that.
I don’t either, at least there are mounts that don’t bob up and down.
I am so thankful for this. Even with the accessibility options selected above, I still was having to take more breaks than usual. I’m OK with going slower since I can control where I’m going.
Nothing wrong with going slower IMO.
Ive noticed certain mounts, especially invincible and druid flight form, they almost fly sideways or like you are drunk if you are gliding at a slow speed.
Its also harder to control. Makes me wonder if this was intentional to mimic irl gliding or an oopsie when they added skyriding to tbc mounts.
Motion sickness is a really individual thing, whether you’re susceptible to it or not. Some people will vomit all over the place with the slightest movement, others have no issues even in VR with motion.
But yeah the game has a lot of motion sickness options, which ones work will vary tremendously depending on the person.
As for myself, I’m immune to motion sickness. I even use the DynamicCam addon, and my settings would probably make motion sickness 10x worse than normal.
You bullied everyone in the last thread. You’re the reason it was shut down. You shouldn’t even be allowed to post anymore after the things you said and did to people.
So let’s not act like that drama and harassment was anyone else’s fault but yours.
Don’t necro old threads and give him a chance to do it again then.
Now I have to mute another one because of him.
I wouldnt be opposed if they doubled skyriding speed just for the craziness lol.
I know this is almost 3 months old, but definitely do not use a horse. It reminds me of the 80’s game Dragon’s Lair the way it bounces and sway. Just use jump and single speed. There’s a way to move so it gives more speed like using the whirling.
Ive never gotten motion sick yet…but I imagine maybe a roller coaster might get me if I got on one, lol. I cant imagine Im impervious to having it happen…just havent crossed the right trigger yet, lol
VERY happy they figured out Dragonriding was causing some problems for many players and got to putting out some kind of helps so quick in DF.
I do know the wife gets MORE results from just changing her mouse settings than the accessbility settings, seems different things work for different folk
Flying Moose seem to do the same thing. It is very annoying and unnecessary. These mounts behave fine in steady flight though.
Motion sickness is more prevalent than arachnophobia, and yet we got an arachnophobia mode but not a motion sickness prevention mode.
I dont have either myself but I think accessibility is good, and surprised they chose a less prevalent issue to deal with over a more prevalent one that is just as present in the game.
Tbh it was funny watching the mods delete their posts. It was a good 40 to 50. Can’t say I saw anyone else’s go down.
That exists for Skyriding. It would be located under accessibility.
“You can find these options under Accessibility > General, or simply type out “Motion Sickness” on the Options search menu.”
They did add in motion sickness options. They added those ages ago and expanded on them too.
Gets on roller coaster. And complains that roller coaster makes him sick. I sympathize with you on your motion sickness, but no one is making you fly and or play this particular game. As much as It would be nice to accommodate everyone one for everything. It is a unwinnable task. Someone will always be left out, or others experience diminished because of the sacrifices to make it accessible to others. It stinks truly. But people just need to play what works for them. Thank you for your recommendations, I hope they help others.
Oh that’s good then
I’m sorry you are having these difficulties.
I’m sorry normal flight is gated now for you.
All I can do is stand beside you as an ally.
Dear lord… can we go one thread without this…
