This realm is officially dead. Thank you blizz for killing another fresh start realm. Literally the same thing that happened to Angerforge is happening here.
Guilds and people transferring off to Whitemane in masses. Pretty much am tired of it at this point
So cool that everyone is so easy to transfer off and reward blizz for their awful skills of management, caring, everything. Nicely done
edit: to all of those “fresh do what fresh gonna do” people, I did not start playing the game until WoTLK release. Why as a fresh player looking for a PvP server would I have chosen to join a realm with queue times (most if not all were completely locked even for new character creation) as opposed to starting fresh with everyone else? But keep giving blizz money hand over fist for their incompetency, no wonder they don’t fix sh!t. player base is a joke just as much as the developers.

You now know atleast that fresh server realms are DoA. Try other servers until you find one you like and dont get baited into fresh realms again.

Fresh server made at the beginning of the expac dies within 6 months. More at 11.

Fresh died because of mismanagement by blizzard not because the idea in itself was bad.
You still can’t transfer in,
You still can’t use your boost,
You can only transfer out,
And for the longest time it was locked (it was locked longer than it’s been unlocked, needlessly)
Initially there needed to be restrictions, blizzard say something like 90 days? Well its been much much longer than that to the servers detriment
Not to mention the splitting of the playerbase with free transfers to angerforge in the early days.
Of course it died.
Overtime people get bored and quit the game, fresh had no new fresh blood coming
There’s been a mass exodus lately and the server is in a downward spiral and can’t be saved now
It’s a rip
Both my 80s have transferred off, same with my entire 50 man guild - not the biggest or the best on the server but that’s another 50 gone
Rip Skyfury, you deserved better.

Nah.
Fresh dies because fresh dies a 100 times out of a 100. That was totally foreseeable but people took that bait nevertheless.
But every server was fresh at some point…
Oh god
WERE HEADING FOR DOOM
STOP PANICKING

Yojamba server would like to have a word with you in thinking Skyfury is dead.
Fresh died because the type of people attracted to fresh are notorious quitters. They quit in p1 Vanilla, p1 tbc, and now p1 wrath. It honestly isnt a shock it died. Any one paying attention knew it was going to happen.

You do realize there is a MASSIVE difference between 6 month old fresh servers and servers that have lasted 3 years right?
you know what that difference is? the established megaservers have a player base that doesnt quit the game in the first 2 months after theyve cleared the first bit of content.
Fresh servers made for Classic launch also died. Hurr durr.
You people are some of the most insufferable people on these forums. You just want to be right about something so desperately you ignore the actual reasons it happened as long as it aligns with your opinion.
It’s like you are never right about anything in your life so when it “appears” to happen you have to be super annoying about it because the chance may never come along again for you.
None of you predicted this. It is a coincidence because Blizzard screwed up per usual.
They also lasted longer than 90 days which is when everyone said it would fail.
They also never opened transfers at 90 days as most of you doomers said.
So in fact you were almost completely wrong about it and are just patting yourself on the back because you are annoying and insufferable
The real reasons Skyfury is dying slowly is because:
- People are quitting the game because Ulduar is hard
- Transfers were allowed off the server nearly from the start but the only way to create a char is to fully level from 1-80 which takes a LONG time
- Blizzard opened up more Fresh servers than they should have because of whining from players
Skyfury was a great server and people are still playing on it. If they open transfers it will attract back more people. It still has 5k players weekly with logs. This is like one of the largest WOW realms from Vanilla.
They can always do free transfers to it at some point to save it. It’s not dead yet. It’s just slowly dying. They can also allow boosts and it will be saved.
The only reason I left is because I pug and with less players it’s hard to find PUGs. If I was in a guild I wouldn’t have left because the server is still busy.

All the RMT whale trash seems to congregate on Whitemane for whatever reason. Server should have been locked a long time ago.
Ulduar hard? Maybe 15 years ago. People are just bad.

I feel your pain man I started on angerforge leveled 3 characters to 80 during the most hype point rather quickly tho angerforge started to die out it became harder and harder to even find groups for heroics finally I got a free transfer to only skyfury which at the time I guess was a lot better off than angerforge but since then I’ve taken a break because finding groups to play with was far too tedious and time consuming
Think I’m just gonna bite the bullet and re-roll on Faeralina since I’m central time anyhow. It’s either that or quit playing WoW altogether tbh. It really is a sad sight to see and very demoralizing. We’ll see if I stick with it or not, best of luck.
No, you’re right here.
Lots of people not following strats. It’s amazing how hard it is to do something simple like “stay out of green clouds”.
eranikus alliance getting there as well
So it’s Blizzard’s fault that they gave players what they asked for and the players realized they didn’t actually want to start fresh? Lmao
Right
Who would have thought that a server catering to people who not invested into their server, let alone their character and are just dopamine addicts who would jump ship to the next server whether it be 1 week or 6 months after the one theyre currently on is released would die
every change is this lol and you are surprised welcome to the wow population.
