I’m not a fan and i think they stick out like a sore thumb. Too bright, and too retail.
Whatever that thing is its not a cat, and that’s not a bear.
It’s fine to add some cultural flavor to the forms like trolls and worgens, but skyborn druids are just a massive departure from what should be an aesthetic that aligns with classic.
I’ve been hoping for a blood elf type druid for a long time and now it looks like this dumb bird faced thing is what I gotta deal with.
Didn’t even spend the money for a new aquatic form either.
Please give us a glyph or something to change our form into something else like the standard horde/alliance druid forms.

yeah i think exactly the same.
i want to start by saying. the dev-team did overall an absolute fantastic job from what i’ve seen so far. i honestly wouldn’t have imagined that blizzard would nowadays make such a great work with world of warcraft again! from what i’ve seen, the game is a 8.5/10. (in my world thats absolutely awesome). it’s absolutely heartwarming to hear the devs speaking about the game. they show real passion. they show that they understand us who play and love this classic world for decades. Many thanks for your work!
Besides that. Where do they lose the 1.5 points for me. 0.5 points are here and there small tweeks which dont get my taste. But the devs cant make it for everyone. We all know that and thats totally fine. Other people might like these points. Even in the classic community we dont have common ground on these things.
0.3 ist the implementation of skyborn. i think there would’ve been better races for classic wow. but i get why they decided for them and i get that there are many people who like a “nicely looking race”. So in the end: Fine too. The implementation of skyborn really doesnt kill the good work!
But 0.7 is really the skyborn druid forms (“cat” and “bear” → owl is okayish). they just dont fit at all to the classic world. it will be a pain to raid /play with these visually. and from what ive heard, thats a kinda big consent in the community so far.
So i really hope blizzard might think about to rework them and make them way more classic. maybe a grayish bear with some small tweeks, same for the cat. But not this, when i first saw the bear … i honestly thought it is a mount. These forms are, sadly to say, an absolute F.
I kind of agree they stick out, just add SD models for Skybornes already. Use the TBC Belf models and make the druid forms lower res for SD its that simple
its important to note that the first druid forms ever to deviate from being actual cats and bears, with racial accents, was in BFA.
No, I don’t want to look like the absolute freak show that the other bears look like. Get over bird forms, they’re here to stay
It is, indeed, an owlbear and some kind of tiny griffin, well observed!
The owlbear, notably, has been in D&D for so long that it was a thing before it was even called D&D
They look like Zelda inspired models.. The entire zone, race and aesthetic does NOT fit..
And btw which Skyborn are you refuring too? LOL… horde or alliance??
