Im trying to get the plans for the Sky Golem on one of my engineers. Its been a while since I got it on other toons, a couple of years at least, and I wonder if anyone has any sort of current experience on how easy or difficult it is to get the plans to drop.
Ive tried various spots across Pandaria, and also in a couple of instances, so far without success. Id say Ive killed well over 50 mobs and I dont know if thats a small sample or if its drop rate has changed recently.
Since Mists hasn’t been the active expansion you may have to dive all of the patch notes since back then.
The Sky Golem plans may have been “Adjusted” / Nerfed into undroppable now as MoP is not the current expansion. While this would be a great thread for a Blue to respond to, I wouldn’t count on it.
I just did the search for jard peculier energy source and the item that makes you learn it is saying not available to players on wowhead .

The easiest way to get this is by farming the low-hp mobs in the “Imperial Granary” (Valley of Four Winds, south river bed).
You must be full mists engineering to get that to drop . It wont drop if you dont have full panda engineering which is i think 75/75 now . But it must be full/full .
