To be honest from my perspective is, that Turtle rep is not even an issue. It’s for players like me who took a break and skipped Nazj/Mech patch. I had ALL reputations exalted for a long time before i took break. Now that i’ve returned i’ve slowly been working on it but it feels like i’m doing the whole damn achievement from scratch. I’m only a few quest-lines short of Pathfinder 1, but Part 2 is just BS because i don’t have any interest doing this Mech/Nazj. Rewards are out of date and am forced to go here if i want flying.

All the rep you need for pathfinder is organic through just playing the game. If you sat out during certain content then you just have to go and play that content to catch your peers who already did it.

I think it’s funny that people act like the pathfinder rep grind is the end of the world. It isn’t even to exalted, it’s only half the rep to exalted.

The turtles are easy… Often have bonus rep as their reward and give a bigger chunk of rep. Not to mention the emissaries that they do at least once or twice a week

2 to 3 weeks without bonuses or contracts playing casually.

So basically just grind boring world quests at a painfully slow rate.

Great insight.

Not Tortollan rep though. Every other rep you can get a good chunk by only doing the questlines, and there’s always the WQs per day with said reps.

Tortollan you only get the few WQs and that’s it. That’s why it’s such a pita to farm.

The rest, I agree with you, it’s just stuff that you’d do mostly organically.

But isn’t funny that flying is ā€œuselessā€ come 8.3 content? Since its content takes place in Uldum/Pandaria. I took a break and missed 8.2 and just came back, and I’m debating if I really want flying that bad for BfA.

Clearly you don’t appreciate a good story!

Not that the Tortollan’s have any good stories…

It’s almost like PF is for people who don’t burn through the content in a week.

Even not taking a break I honestly thought Pathfinder Pt 2 was bullpoop.

Yeah, I’ve temporarily sanctioned myself to Classic Wow only.

I can’t stand spending time in a zone that is just a zerg fest (naz + Mech) - but i love World PvP.

I get nauseous every time I realise that Naz and Mech are the same places with a reskin.
It frustrates me that Blizzard took this path - I hate when the main game is locked behind arbitrary rep grinds.

WHAT HAVE THE TORTOLLANS DONE FOR US THAT WOULD ACTUALLY HELP ME GET MY MOUNT?
I DON’T SEE THEM AT Nya’lotha fighting an old god along side us.
But apparently I need them to fly.

It just doesn’t make any sense, and is very lazy game design.

If you don’t think that helping that old guy sort through his junk helps you to learn how to fly in Zandalar and KT which is different to flying anywhere in the universe for some reason, I don’t know what to tell you.

So much this.

I really wish they made these reps require Honored. It’s the last patch… and I feel like a peasant without flying.

What does that even mean? The only bottleneck is world quests. There’s no way to go faster.

I totally and completely agree. Don’t make us get rep from stupid factions we don’t like. Tortalins can’t really fly anyway.

It’s comical that we have people two years into the expansion complaining about a two week, unbelievably easy grind.

Got to admit that one thing these devs have got good at, is gating pathfinder behind rep with factions that are irrelevant to flight lol. Just like the nightbourne in Legion, and the saber stalker cat people in Wod haha. Needing rep with a faction like High mtn made sense in a way, because of the Skyhorn tribe, and the war eagles, but the rest? Could say the same for Arokoa(whatever their name is) what are we without the sky bird faction in Wod, but the rest made no sense.

no…just thru playing the game EXACTLY like they demand you play it.
I ā€˜just play the game’ in MY way and dont get squat towards PF.
