I’ve been in this stupid cave killing orcs for over an hour and still no insignia has dropped. I’ve wiped out the Burning Blade in Skull Rock. Thrall should give me a damn medal because I’ve destroyed the entire cult looking for a insignia!
This quest and this cave are a joke. I’ve done this quest on alts and picked up the insignia on my first few kills. One of my alts got it on the very first kill. I had 40 ice cold milks when I went into this cave and drank all 40 in-between destroying orcs and when I was done with my milk I had no insignia and no milk. I’m glad that as a cow I just love ice cold milk.
Now I have to go buy more milk and go back into this cave because Thrall didn’t raise no quitter.

Are you still part of a raid group from wpvp? Quest items do not drop while in a raid group.

Yeah I’ve had it drop first kill, I’ve had it drop 50th kill. Annoying quest.

No group. I’m doing the quest just like I have on my alts. This is the longest its ever taken me to complete it. The mobs are now green to me.

I got it within a few drops on this toon, took me an hour and half on my druid alt. I feel your pain lol.

Sounds like me in the Ban’ethil Barrow Dens the other day. Apparently there wasn’t a shaman with a commonly-carried ritual device anywhere in the area for quite some time, as I slaughtered well over 200 of them (plus another 200 of their Augers and Defenders) before it finally fell. Almost 2 full levels.

You actually do get a medal. You get to keep the insignia which I do not believe you can vendor or do anything else with other than destroy it.
this. and the rogue that likes to also call it his home since honor was released.
I have found that if you get something on the first kill on one toon then RNG will screw your other toons. It’s like needing 3 items for a quest like Murloc eyes; if you have the quest they refuse to drop. If you don’t have the quest then every murloc you kill drops an eye.

I killed mobs for this quest until it finally occured to me that I had probably gotten more xp than if I had finished the quest, even if it was a chain.
Went back out into the world and deleted the quest, moved on with life. Felt good.

This happened to me on my Mage, I think. I was in there for like 2 hours.
It’s probably in your bags, and has been for the last 55 minutes.
I thought so, too and did check but nope.
Caves are the one of the worst designed things in Vanilla WOW. Lazy design.
