Did something change with this item in the last couple of months that make it worth more gold?
I used to see them on the auction house around 300g. I almost bought one a few months ago for 150g just to play around with. Lately I’ve been checking the AH any time I’m there and each time there are 1-3 listed and all for around 1500g. Did something change with this item that made it worth a lot more money, or are they just strangely going for more because one guy saw another selling it for that much, so he did too?
Yeah, it’s just the look of it or someone is trying to flip.
So random story: In Vanilla I had that drop off some owlbeasts when I was playing with my shammy friend. This was like Feb 2005. My friend equipped it because of how it looked and his shield at the time was a green. Following that he would get whispers from random people absolutely freaking out about him being given it because “it is for warriors” and “who the hell gives that to a shaman”.
It’s either inflation, or people seeing others leveling pallies in prep for tbc, where they become even better at aoe farming. On pagle I saw they went from like 650g to like 1600 now, and I ain’t paying that. They can just keep it or someone desperate will save up and buy it.
And tbh, with the instance caps blizzard added to hurt bots (which actually hurt legit players a lot more), you would need a couple of them now because legit players need to level two pallies if they intend on making their gold solely off dungeon soloing.
