Is it possible to skip the long trek from the Dark Portal to the eventual garrison location? I’ve done it on enough characters back in the day I would rather skip it this time.
Yes. If you can get yourself a port to Ashran, you can fly (or have somebody fly you) to the location of the first quest after the intro scenario. The quest givers will be there waiting for you regardless of if you do the scenario or not.
Off the SE corner of the Isle of Thunder in Pandaria is a pirate ship.
There is an underwater cave on the shore opposite the ship.
In the cave is a blue light surrounded by four chairs.
Sit on a chair and click the blue light.
You will be ported to a small rock off the coast of Gorgorond. From there, you can fly/swim to the Garrison location where you would normally be sent after completing the WoD intro. You can pick the quest chain to start the garrison there and bypass the intro entirely.
Yes if he/ArcMage is in front of portal. Do not talk to him, just run into the portal.
If he is not there go talk to the phase switcher, or the board for Dranor.
You will know by the NPC and the uphill to the flag touch.
Thanks all for the suggestions, took the portal in Org to Ashran, then flew to Frostfire Ridge. Took a bit to realize I needed to get down to where the boat would land if doing the intro. Garrison created and recruiting hero’s.
