This is a long scenario that is mostly lore, and otherwise not very interesting or rewarding to do more than once or twice. Would be nice if we could skip it on alts.
edit: Turns out you just need to turn in the bread-crumb quest “On Whispered Winds” and then you should be good to go with a portal to Darkshore, and the three quests there.
You can skip it, I thought?
Why do you keep doing it? I mean, once you have completed it once you can queue for the warfront and use the appearance on every nelf alt you have.
Why don’t you just skip it?
If there’s a skip I’ve been missing it.
Isn’t it required to unlock Datkshore Warfront?
In that case, “skip” can’t mean “blow off the quest”. It would have to be a “skip” option in one of the quest dialogues, and I don’t remember seeing one. (I only have one eligible Alliance alt, so I did the quest.)
I’m doing it to open up the portal and quests to Darkshore.
Nope. Just for the weekly reward. (just once per account)

You get it all after completing it once.

Me too, get the quest on all, no option to skip but the Darkshore WF is unlocked.
Well I made this post because I logged into my hunter alt to do the darkshore WQs, and the portal wasn’t there (this is after I had already done everything on another character). There was a portal to Arathi, but not to Darkshore.
I tried just porting to Darnassus (Which is now a darkshore portal), but the quests to kill rares, blow up the goblin boxes, etc, weren’t there.
So I did the Tyrande quest line and came back to Borallus… the portal was up, took it, and now the quests are up.
I’m not sure what’s going on, because I just checked on some other alts and the portal was already up. These alts have only turned in the starter quest to get the Tyrande chain going, but they haven’t done the whole thing.
edit: and this is not about the “Battle for Darkshore” pve raid thing.
update: So I found an alt with the same issue. Arathi portal was up, but no portal to Darkshore.
All I had to do was turn in the bread-crumb quest “On Whispered Winds,” and the portal was up. So you do need to go to Stormwind at least, but you don’t need to do the whole quest series and scenario - just turn in the bread crumb and the portal and quests should be up in Darkshore.
